Fiends above 6 HD usually have magic weapons. ones below that are mostly cannon fodder.
I imagine they'd be using bane weapons.

Or sure strike weapons from Player's Guide to Faerûn: considered to have all alignments for the purpose of penetrating DR, as a +1 ability (the 3.0 version was that they were treated as +5 weapons for DR).
I know that when I get enough money with my current PC, I'm getting his main weapon sure-striked.

When I saw the title I thought of the Best Prestige Class Ever, the Professor of Awesome, and his second-level ability - DR 7/Fondue.
