(OOC: He thinks the Academy might pay more, but Vanitri knows from Layna Larinas that the Academy is likely to confiscate it if he tries to sell directly to them. Still, there may be someone in the Academy who could buy it. He also suggests that some of the merchants who can afford to take such a risky chance on an expensive item might be in Orussus--it is a risky chance because he has to pay up now on the hope that somebody later buys it)

OOC: Well, how about he sell it to him, but he identify the necklace for the 100 gold discount, weather or not he sells it to him.

(OOC: You mean the 50 gold discount? The 50 + 50 for two IDs does add up to 100 total discount. The merchant is willing to do so. So if you do, Vanitri gains 1,800 gold and gets the necklace identified too. Is he going to do that? He could always keep it and pawn it off next time he drops by Orussus if he wants)

"Now, to fill out that form..."

OOC: Sweet, Vanitri will put that on and tuck it under his shirt.

OOC2: I get the feeling that that was a metamagic rod and could have been worth a lot more. Oh well, he doesn't know.

(OOC2: Yep, while it may not have been a Metamagic Rod, it was worth a lot more. It also made a pretty set with the amulet and the book :p)

(OOC: Vanitri gains a +2 enhancement bonus to all mental stats)
