Tolan paces about the deck, unsure of what to do with himself while the Thaliss' interrogation proceeds. He picks up the halfling's bow and tests its draw idly while sighting at imaginary targets on the shore.

Something that Lars says penetrates his thoughts.

"These passengers. Describe them more. Dwarves and humans . . . anything notable?"

OOC: Claiming the shortbow unless anyone else cares.

"I meant what were they wearing. Tabards. . . armor . . .cloaks?"
OOC: Fishing for information about the Mirabar surcoat, stony armor or feathered cloak things we saw on two of the corpses.

One of them looked about your size, but a bit older and less rugged.
The remaining bandit rotates in front of Tolan to make his path a little longer to Shoalar and attempts to shove him failing miserably to even be noticed by the larger man.
Race: Elf (Wood)
Size: Medium (5'5", 128 lb)

OOC: Sorry somehow had a mountain woodsman in my head for you.

"I don't know. Rich folk. Not peasants. There didn't seem to be much special about them. The soldiers had red and black, I guess."

Reading through the dwarven tome, Damien asked disinterestedly, "Any of the captives jump out at you? Any ladyfolk, maybe?" Nudging Thaliss, the warlock continued, "If we could create an image, do you think you could tell us if they were among the captives you ferried across?"

"We'll be asking the questions here," Damien growled, casually summoning his pact weapon in the form of a rapier to his hand. "Can you pilot us to the eastern shore of the river? If so, do it. Anything funny and you'll get to know what hellfire in your bowels feels like."

Tolan scans along the eastern shore, scanning for a likely place to hide the boat if at all possible.

OOC: What does the eastern shore look like? Any inlets, areas with enough trees/bushes to obscure the boat, anywhere the boat could be pulled entirely up onto dry land?

OOC: Survival might be the most relevant skill possibly.

There are literally miles of coastline to look at and you can find a suitable place to dock the boat within an hour or so. Once you land, it's roughly 15 miles to Summit Hall. You could get there by nightfall if you hurry. The tide is halfway between high tide and low tide at this point in the day. If you want to spend more time concealing the boat it will prevent arrival at the hall by nightfall.

Tolan points out what he feels is a reasonable landing point and helps in whatever way he can to get the boat safely to shore. He'll immediately set to work concealing and camouflaging the boat in whatever way he can, trying to block the sight of the boat from the river, particularly from anyone coming from Riverguard Keep.

"Just in case someone comes looking for our former captain, we should take precautions."

He thinks nothing of the encroaching nightfall, being fully accustomed moving by moon and stars.
