"What madness is this?" asks Carradoc as he sees the lave flow and the dam attempting to regulate it. "Such power! Such force," he gasps. He turns to his companions. "Do we proceed? shall I lead?"

"I say we move on! We made it this far and I would hate to turn back."
Thaliss says, to motivate the others hoping they will agree.

[sblock=E9]Two smelly piles of fur have been shoved into the two northern corners of this room. A small bag with knuckle bones spilling out lies between the two nests, and a half eaten haunch of meat sits next to it.[/sblock]

You pass the lava floes undetected, it appears the workers are not too active at the moment and the guards are not on particular alert.

When you cross the threshold you enter the large bunk and supply filled barracks. A number of cultists are awake, others sleep. They immediately question Lyzie at the front.

Unsuspecting, "What are you want? Who are those people?"

Ecstatic, "The people that are here to kill you."

A pause, then a jaw drop.

OOC: Surprise round. Up to you how much noise you want to make. Lyzzie and Miles will follow up however is appropriate based on how the group acts.

Thaliss wasted no time, and blasts the first cultist in front of the group

As they pass the pile of refuse, the knucklebones catch Carradoc's eye, and he uses Mage Hand to retrieve the knucklebones and their bag. He tucks it away in a pocket for further inspection later.


Carradoc stays in position when the cultists appear and fires a chilling blast at the nearest cultist he can see.

"Pew".

To hit: [roll0]. If a hit damage = [roll1] necrotic.

Thaliss hits only once killing a cultist.

Kubeba brutally murders two.

Carrodoc wounds a further cultist.

Lyzzie sees the two standing guards and sends two firebolts out. They also drop screaming in pain.

She motions to the waking prone sleeping guards with a finger over her mouth saying "shhh". She points at the northern-most door.

Thaliss telepathically says: We should finish the sleepers off, so we won't be attacked from the back. We don't know what we will be facing. He includes Lizzy in his telepathic discourse, and this is the first time he has done so.

OOC: Getting ready to slay o35 guard, assuming the others will do the same
