LYLLIE
The gnome gets surrounded by the clouds as the dust takes its effect, enveloping the souls, as well as the nearby humanoid shapes. Almost immediately, they begin to glow, contrasting with the vanishing small image of the gnome. The creatures do not seem to realize what has happened until it is too late. This is largely because one of the apparitions, as well as one of the secretive adversaries, are not affected by the glow. All the others, though, are clearly outlined, and no longer pose an unseen threat.
Even though the gnome is concealed, though, a single arrow still flies towards her position, missing her by a hair! the arrow brushes her sleeve, taking a small part of it away, but leaving her unscathed. One of them must have heard her moving...
AS for the spirits, they twist and turn over themselves, as if struck by great terror. They're vanishing, ceasing to exist in this world as they grasp the first tendrils of the ethereal plane. After a few more seconds they'll be beyond reach, but still capable of watching the heroes and, as opportunity presents itself, return to haunt them!
[At the end of the turn the two remaining spirits will have shifted to the ethereal plane, where they can't be attacked. The attacks for this round still count, though!]
THULWAR
The small machine makes an active effort to attack the ghost, but it is all in vain. It spins around, untouched by Tink's claws. The sinuous movements that the spirit makes resemble a hypnotic dance, as if every gesture was part of an ancient ritual, remembered only by the lifeless creatures now.
The metallurgist persists on the attack, but the acid runs through the floor before the soul. The dead priest limits itself to retreat a few steps, a cruel and sardonic smile stamped on its face as it awakens from its confusion! The creature twists around and, instead of leaving the area, it seams to coil upon itself, vanishing slowly to another plane of existence!
In the meantime, arrows are once more spat against the heroes. One of them hits Tink between his body and one of his arachnid legs, getting stuck between the plaques that form him [6 points of damage]. The other one hits Thulwar’s chest, burying itself in his armor and drawing blood from the sage [5 points of damage]
[The spirits can still be targeted, since any plane-shifting actions will only take effect in the end of this turn.]
HARFIK
The monk's warnings are effective, granting all his allies a fair notion of his position, as well as that of his opponent. He even realizes that the trap he prepared worked wonders, since the pacing and position of the faint steps did change entirely. Now the creatures calculate their distance with more care, the sounds betraying fear. As the monk moves, he gets the precise position of his enemy: he spins around a point, as if completing its contours, leaving this precise area between himself and Harfik. A floor trap, no doubt, and he fixates himself around it!
Not a second later, an arrow comes from the stillness surrounding the adversary, missing Harfik by a large margin. He is certain of the archer’s position, now, and the distance between them has become so small he can leap against the creature, if he so chooses!
[Ok, you can use deflect once more by sacrificing your defenses! Still, the creature is within reach, now.]
AANZU
As the draconian prince throws his blades forward, the sound of hurried steps increases, almost at hand. The first blade loses itself, probably failing to reach its target, but the second one is followed by the wet sound of spilled blood and the sudden moan of a mangled warrior. An arrow crosses the mists, oblique as it seeks Aanzu out, but it gets lost in the clouds behind the draconian. A single step, now, and Aanzu can reach his enemy, even though he still can’t manage to see him…
[The rolls can be kept, no problem! Spares us from new ones! Also, a brief explanation: I’ve been calculating the movement for the enemies as they attack, retreat or advance. I’ve also been counting your own amount of ‘steps’ accordingly to your choices – if you use stealth, you’ll go slower; if you choose to move, you’ll use all your movement; and so on. Therefore, if you ‘lock’ on an enemy and he keeps attacking, you’ll eventually reach him – just as is the case right now for Aanzu and Harfik. Still, enemies can only be seen through magical means or once the adjacent space has been reached. As for the determination of the position, I’ve been rolling perception against stealth for all of you, and every step in the right direction means something denounced them – in this case, your perception roll beat the stealth roll for the bruised enemy. Of course, he was penalized accordingly, since he got hit.]
[Ok, your actions! After that, I’ll describe results!]
