Too quiet Silhouette thought to herself as they started over the bridge. She caught herself looking rapidly around, waiting for an ambush. After all they'd been through, it seemed impossible it might already be over. She kept checking the map, folded in her pouch, every few steps...worried something, anything, might throw itself in their path to steal this victory from them now.

Hope could be crueller than despair. If there was a lesson this place had taught her, it was that.
