D&D 5E Ideas for Dwarven Calvalry

Tales and Chronicles

Jewel of the North, formerly know as vincegetorix
I try to give dwarves skills with beasts that require little space and few topside food, so anything that eats bugs or mushrooms. On the surface I often make them carried (note: not riding) giant ravens and in the caverns I usualy go for dire moles or worm-sledge.

To borrow from the Last Airbender (and I know in the show they are that world's hybridized "Badger-Moles")...

I say Giant Badgers...but a more fantastical/Last Airbender kinda giant badger that can easily "dig" through stone as well as earth.

...dig through stone....dig through stone!?...WAIT!

QUADRUPEDAL VERSIONS OF "DOMESTICATED" UMBER HULKS!!!

Legend
I once had a clan of dwarves that rode giant armored spiders. I know the eight legged freaks tend to be associated with drow, but a battle spider was a fierce thing to behold. After all, how do you think dwarves got their poison resistance. :)

Dwarves cavalry conjures up echoes of bikers. Bikers in leather & metal, riding iron hogs.

...which become iron boars, constructs crafted by dwarves master craftsmen.
