"Well? Go ahead and open it. You're leading. Given that you are bringing us to the money we wont let no goons kill you. yet." says Bloodtalon.

The goblin child pleads with his eye not to be the one, but seeing no other alternative he moves cautiously forward to open the door. Grasping the handle with both hands he tugs it hard, but the door remains shut. He tries it twice more before announcing that it is locked.

"I can give it a try." Sedar says, getting his lock tools out, "but if time permits, let's first make sure there are no nasty surprises involved with that lock."

Sedar spends nearly an hour examining the door for traps then slowly and carefully picking the lock on the door. He easily bypasses the mechanism and slides the bolt back that holds the door shut. With a loud, grinding creak the door scrapes across the stone and opens to reveal a darkened room.

Your sharp eyes can make out some of the interior. There are piles of debris and stone scattered about the room. It is nearly as large as the room you are in now. Mixed in with the debris you can see the pale reflection of bones. Close to the door, leaning against the wall, are three long poles with sharpened stone ends. They look a little clumsy to be spears.

Your superior vision picks out something amiss. A bit of light reflected off a shiny carapace, but it moved and you lost the reflection before you could tell what it was.

"There is something here. A bug perhaps? could've just been a cockroach, but be on guard." says Bloodtalon. With his claws always ready he has no need to let go of the goblin.

(sorry for the delay)

Sedar stows away his tools, and curses silently as he notices that he forgot to pack some oil for his lantern. "Anyone got light or some oil perhaps? I don't particularly like traipsing through darkness unaided."

"I have oil." says Bloodtalon as he goes to retrieve it from his pack. "Johanel, can you hang on to this rascal for a few moments while we provide more light."

Johanel grasps the goblin child by the arm and holds him tight while Sedar lights his hooded lantern. Raising it up he casts its light into the darkened room beyond the door. It appears to be some kind of storeroom. Barren metal shelves line the walls, their former contents spilled on the floor and rifled through. As the light falls on the middle of the room there is a sudden sound of chitin scraping on stone. Two small scorpions rise from their hiding places amid the rubble and snap their claws menacingly.
