Gargoyle

He does not quite understand what the diplomat is saying but he does get the point of transferring the prisoner and joining the fray. Quickly he hands of the Kolbold, brandishes his Great Sword, activates his shield and flies off into combat.

OOC: I would imagine that the statues are rather tall. If possible he will fly to a flanking position against the animated statue (120 ft) and attack. Otherwise he will simply double move on the ground to get there.

Aldred's Readied Action:

Seeing Snargle take a pair of attacks in rapid succession, with a quick gesture Aldred sends his Spectral Hand sailing across the room to deliver a Cure Critical Wounds to Snargle.

Cure Critical: (4d8+13=34)

OOC: Cure spells heal Lethal and Non-Lethal damage simultaneously, so it both restores 34 of the 64 fire damage, but also restores the 18 non-lethal damage he took from the golem.

Silhouette casts a spell on herself this time, causing her eyes to burn violet for a moment before settling back to their usual dusky red. She winces as the fireball detonates, then looks around the corner to scan the interior of the room.

(Casting See Invisible, then checking inside to see if I can see the kobby.)

Legend
Snargle 79/95 hp

If Snargle can get to the kobold he will tumble over to him and go for a grapple, otherwise he will draw his large unholy adamantine heavy mace and give the statue a two handed smashing.

Round 3 wrap up

A dark cloud composed of tiny, indistinct shapes lies across the entrance to the chamber, though it has a gap cut through it. This hole frames a window through which the tiefling views the battle. Silhouette looks around the corner and sees an invisible, writhing mass of vermin shaped vaguely like a kobold. It stands adjacent to Rose, who seems to be moving at normal speed again. Though it's hard to tell expressions on such an inhuman face, the worm appears to be sizing up Aldred. Behind it, a large chunk of stone has been uprooted from the cave floor, an iron altar with a giant symbol of some kind rises up from the rock, and to either side, iron statues brandish weapons. One of these statues is now attacking Snargle.

The gargoyle readies his shield and weapon, dashing through the hole, taking to the air, and circling around to flank the golem. The diplomat and her kobold forcibly restrain the captive, taking over for the gargoyle.

Initiative order:
kaelvorr
silhouette
kelteror
snargle
worm
golem
aldred
gabriel
gargoyle
rose

OOC: I'm really liking the hit points/stats in the title bars of your posts. Keep it up! :D

Knowledge Check Results

Aldred, Rose, Snargle, and the gargoyle do not know what manner of creature the large iron statue is.

Silhouette, Gabriel, and Kaelvorr recognize it as an iron golem, a fearsome construct used by mages as tireless guards. Like many other golems it is resistant to virtually all magic. Fire will heal it, electricity will slow it down, and rust will destroy it. Iron golems typically breathe poison. This one seems a little different from standard iron golems - it has an extra set of runes inscribed across it that seem to serve some purpose. A prominent symbol on its chest matches the one on the altar, but the symbol is not familiar to any of you.

"Here's one with the old statue smasher!" Snargle cries as he smashes his adamantine mace into the walking sword armed statue.

Aldred takes a moment to ask those with a better view of the room "Can anyone see where the little rat went?"
