One troglodyte steps forward its hands raised in a non-threatening manner. It’s voice comes out low.

[sblock=If you can speak troglodyte or pass a DC 15 nature check you can piece together what he is saying]

You are the runs that are making the noise, killing our people?

If not successful, I try Intimidate: [roll1]

Flint listens to the sounds the obviously non-hostile troglodyte is making, but cannot make sense of it other than realizing it's a form of language. Deciding to take his ally's suggestion, the dwarf presents the huge axe he took from the minotaur, shaking it in front of the creature but accidentally holding out the handle, making it seem like he is trying to hand the axe to the troglodyte rather than scare it off. When he realizes his mistake, Flint awkwardly withdraws the weapon but it slips from his grasp and it falls on the cavern floor with a loud clank.

Corsa looks at Flint with a "wtf" look, and then turns her attention to the troglodyte.

Without speaking the language, she attempts to communicate, through gestures and simple words, that we're only trying to survive, and don't want to fight them.

The troglodyte stares at Flint with what appears to be a confused expression on its feet. Nodding its head at Corsca the troglodyte points to itself and then half turns to point to the creatures in the back of the room, the troglodyte then holds out its hands and moves two fingers back and forth slowly as he moves his hand forward.

The troglodyte then points at the group and then points one finger towards the ground.

Lal thought about smilling - but maybe showing his teeth would be hostile.

Instead he said in soft tones "They walk, we stay? Is it what they are trying to say? We should clear the way"

Harb Half-Elf Paladin

"It seems that way... I don't think that we can share this location. But if they aren't willing to fight it means that we have likely killed most of their warriors. These primitive peoples often have too much pride for their own good. We should make sure that they leave with food." Harb looks to his allies to see if anyone objects.

If no one objects
As a gesture of good will Harb puts his sword away and motions for them to follow him into the "pantry". If they follow he tries to encourage them to take all the food and water they can carry.

If anyone is uncomfortable with giving them food
As a gesture of good will Harb puts his sword away and moves out of their way.

The troglodytes, all three of them follow Harb into the pantry and gather as much food and water as they can before heading towards the entrance to the cave.

GM:
The top layer has now all been cleared, you still can search the last room for any supplies. Need to know what you want to do next. Camp for the night, head back to get the villagers, clear out the lower levels. Or as always something I haven’t thought of.
