After returning to his tent, Theric pulls out his journal and writes about the days events. In another book he draws sketches of the people he spoke to and lists any information he gained from/about them.
The names and faces are quite numerous but other than family conncetions you feel most of the information is somewhat unreliable giving the youthfullness of the sources
He's mostly concerned with the basic information right now. The names of the people he meets, family names, family business, notable quirks about the people (shy, loud, stuck up, etc). Any relationships he finds and rumors he hears will be graded on accuracy/importance, and cross referenced.
From the conversations he gathers there is a serious squabble brewing bewteen 5 of the major houses over a disputed fortress/mining complex known as "The Slot". It is located in a moutainous area and is also contested by two dwarven clans for it's rich almost pure veins of silver, gold and ironcially coal.
Side question. You wanted us all basically human. How prevalent are the nonhumans like Dwarves, Elves, Halflings, etc? Are they just as common but not qualified for this position? Theric will be good with languages and I wanted to know what would be good ones to take.
