I'm ok with sharing XP with NPCs, but then Breva should also get some. And yes, it would take significant chunk from me
On the other hand, Rockhorn is ECL 6, should get a bit more than normal relative to his own XP. So...I'm not opposed in general, but I'd like a bit of XP - The captain can function as captain even with the lost level, it's not like it will affect in-game relationships since XP is just abstract thing

Tim has given his word of honor to serve Oakfirst to the best of his ability. Plus, he's a rules follower by nature to begin with. Tim will not disobey the order.

Custodio is now level 8. I'm going to have him take another level of fighter. He is now a 5th-level cleric/3rd-level fighter. I increased his Int to 14; I want to diversify his skills a bit more. His BAB is now +6/+1. His hp goes up by 10 (PC Gen rolled hp -> 8+2).
