Legacy of Death Part IX: The Ultimate Tomb

The magic javelin is hurled with great strength, and the zombie falls.

However, as it is hurled, again some may see a flash of light, and shortly there after the storm strikes again. Thanks to his central location, everyone but Sim is endangered. With some irony, neither Allowyn or Forge are affected, but the smaller halfling and larger leonid are each hit, taking 25 damage and dazed.

Human, it appears to be the storm that is causing the blast. After seeing the sequence of attack, axe glow and blast, Sim tries to determine the trigger of the blast (Arcana – 37 (minor action?). Sim still plans to move and attack.

that can be a free action.

Such a fiendish creation must mean you are in the right place. This massive storm targets those that use magic, including magic weapons.

Sim moves next to the human. As a basic range arrack, he throws the batorian (non-magical) dagger at the zombie on the right. (OOC: didn’t add an item bonus to the attack roll but I believe you mentioned that it might be +3 for ranged attacks). (38 vs. AC).

Welcome to Hades

Sim does not have the chance to get the dagger. He will have to wait for his turn.

Even as more zombies stumble towards you out of the dark, the ones you struck down rise up again!

Then, shards of bone, scattered across this place and mixed in with the rubble, begin to rise up and come together, forming horrible swarms!

The zombies make rending attacks with their horrid rotting claw-hands. Forge and the great cat are each hit, with the cat—already feeling panicked from the ruble it was standing by and dazed from the storm strike—being grabbed by a zombie and thrown to the ground.

The dread swarms are whirling masses of death, the shards flying far and wide. They rip into Forge (crit), Sim, and the great cat, leaving them weakened. Then, as you all prepare to react, the swirling bones damage again and slow (this is a proximity affect that also catches the warlord).

Allowyn -8hp, slowed

Buckthorn -25 hp, dazed

Forge -78 hp, bloodied, weakened, slowed

Leandre -87 hp, bloodied, dazed (twice…save ends), prone, ruble-panicked, slowed, weakened

Simorai -16 hp, slowed, weakened

They attack again tomorrow.

As an immediate interrupt, Sim will use Dimensional Vortex (ranged attack) on the first zombie (39 vs. will) that hit Forge. On a hit, he teleports it next to, and attacks, the zombie that got the crit on Forge (thinking to negate the crit as well if the attack takes it out).
Unless otherwise noted as a default, Sim’s origin due to the Enlightened Rebirth epic feature is natural (+2 saves and resist 5 all).
