Sim, you call forth your arcane power and unleash the eldritch storm. Only Buckthorn and Forge are affected, this time. (22 damage and dazed).

You do annul the first zombie hit on Forge, and in turn the other zombie is destroyed, preventing it from attacking the dwarf. The dread skeletal swarm that critted Forge is not affected (obviously he is not going to know about the coming crit...but you said zombie, so that made it easy.)

Forge shakes his head clear, bellows his war cry and lashes out at his enemies. Fighter's grit, ignores dazed, slowed and weakened until end of next turn. shifts between the zombies (ne) and uses come and get it to get that last creature near him. definitely hit three and 30 vs. will on the last one (shard beast next to him anyway). They each take 17 and the four nearest now surround Forge.

Buckthorn's initiative is 40.

He will name the zombie and the bone pile on Leandre (closest to him) as his quarry. He will fire using Thundertusk Boar Strike at the dread skeletal swarm (36 and 43 to hit; 39 and 22 (61 damage total if both hit) and would push the swarm back two squares.

If this is a new round then Sim would go after Buckthorn and before Forge (as far as their current attacks and storm blasts). Sim teleports to the top Zombie and attacks (basic melee attack, 37 vs. ac) with his other normal dagger (he had a dagger before he obtained the batorian daggers).
The storm blasts are pounding us. Let us move forward and see if we can escape the storm.

Allowyn calls to Leandre "Be calm friend. These abominations will fall." (Inspiring Word heals 57HP, gives 4 temp and a save (failed 3))

Leandre rallies with his master's words but remains dazed. With his one action, while prone and weakened, he strikes out with fury (i guess this counts as one action?) biting and clawing at the Dread Swarm (or the adj. zombie if Buckthorn has pushed it back). (Bite 30 v AC, 31/2 dam, Claw 44vAC, 20/2 dam) Then he'll attempt a save of his own (9) but remains dazed

Assuming Sim teleported away, Allowyn shifts 1sq right to flank with Forge and strikes at the Zombie with his longsword, (as he has no non-magical option), distracting it for Forge (Intuitive Strike 45 v Will, next ally to attack the Zombie with CA gets +2attack)

I am sort of mid-round...

We go in posting order for PBP...but I will let Sim go first, to be in the spirit of what he is trying to do.


Sim, you teleport, drawing the storm blast for it away from the others. You do daze yourself in the process, preventing your attack.

Forge, you destroy the undead (though I rule a little differently then you, clockwise order...), and trigger more storm on your comrades!

Buckthorn destroys the swarm with his arrows and the great cat the zombie with its claws. More storm from buckthorn! And that cat is just about dead.

Allowyn...you may tend to jump to conclusions, or misremember, or something. Not a great time for it. (though it may be good role playing).

You save the cat, though the curse of healing for this place is invoked. You were dazed by that point, so cannot invoke more storm. May be for the better.

(more details tomorrow).

To clarify above

While Sim’s storm strike followed him, and Forges by luck only affected Forge, Buckthorns hits the halfling and makes a devastating blast on the cat and its master (double crits). Somehow the cat stays up to make its attack. (Sim’s dagger attack, the martial inspired healing, and the cat itself provoke no strike….but there could lots of things that could be done, couldn’t there?).

More undead come into sight (not quite your turn…)

Zombies stumble forward, and the swarms scurry about, some coming over the top of the black ice. A flurry of zombie blows mostly miss, Leandre is hit once, and Sim would have been had the zombie not taken a terrible fall that broke off part of its body (it has since recovered).

The swarms thrash again, only Forge is hit directly, but Allowyn and Sim are also affected by their deadly aura.

(Note, some of you have stopped rolling dmg for the zombies...ok, but you still need to roll for the swarms)

Allowyn -69hp, bloodied, dazed, slowed/word


Buckthorn -75 hp, bloodied, dazed/thndr tsk

Forge -62 hp, dazed, slowed, weakened /come & get it, reactive surge

Leandre (total) 40 hp, bloodied, dazed, prone, ruble-panicked,

Simorai -29 hp, dazed, slowed /dim. vortex, teleport
