Level Benefits or Class Benefits, which comes first?

I think games I've been in have just let you do whatever you need to do right then. If you need BAB +6 for a feat, you can take it at level 6 if you have that BAB. If, on the other hand, you need to get a feat to enter a PrC, say at level 6, then you can take the feat at level 6 and then enter the PrC. The order of operations has always been whatever would make the most sense right then.

This leads to early entry into some prcs, which may or may not be a major issue.

I've never been in a game where it's been a problem. I don't really see how it can be. "Oh, no! He can do that a whole LEVEL earlier than he would otherwise be able to! NOOOO!!!!" If it's more interesting for the player, why not?
