Kepé bites Elvira on her approach (rolled 52-10+1=43) for 28-10=18 points of damage.

Elvira does not do as well (rolled 23), not being able to get through the dragon's tough hide.

Round 91

Kepé connects with every attack but one wing (worst hitting roll 43-8+1=36, missing roll 36-8+1=29), inflicting a total of 105-50=55 points of damage. Kepé takes 2 points of damage in the ensuing fall, and is prone at 55N90E with 306 HP. Elvira turns gaseous and leaves the arena.

Next in round 91 for Chaotic Evil is a nightmare beast (Monster Manual II).

A huge, four-legged creature enters the arena, stepping straight out of a nightmare. It stands at least 20ft tall, with each of the digits of its four legs ending in 3ft-long claws. Its jaws are filled with 1-foot-long teeth and flanked by curved tusks the size of cavalry lances. It's thick, tough hide is dark gray with dark purple splotches in between patches of bony material. Its red eyes, each the size of a man's head, glow in the dark.

Dana Dane moves up to the prone Kepé at 40n90e and tusks him. (note the modified crit range in the update).

Let's try this (and hope I've got my measurements...and a living dragon.

Kepé stands-up, steps to 60n90e, then activates Cloudkill on the defensive at 40n95e (which should make it's northern edge 55n and its western edge 90e.)

Dana had to move to 45N90E to tusk Kepé. (Note the reduced reach in the update.)

Kepé bites Dana Dane on approach (rolled 53-4-8=41) for 34 points of damage.

Dana Dane does not need the expanded range to gore Kepé in the franistan (natural 19; 34 to confirm crit) for 41 points of damage.

Round 92

Dana gores Kepé as he gets up (natural 18; 25 for failed crit) for 23 points of damage. Kepé has 242 HP remaining.

A ghastly, yellow-green cloud appears, centered at 40N95E. Dana withstands the vapors partially (31 Fort save) and takes 1 point of Constitution damage. Dana's Constitution drops to 23 and she has 138 HP remaining.

OOC: Dana's Space is 15ft, so 40n was correct. He moved adjacent to the big boy. Oh, and Dana is male in this case.

Dana moves to 40n60e, out of the cloud. (Provokes an AoO but unsure if concealment applies.) He then mumbles in abyssal, "Two can play this game, wise guy." He concentrates and an identical, ghastly, yellow-green cloud appears, centered at 60n90e.

The partial concealment while part of Dana's body is at 50N80E allows an AoO, which connects (rolled 38; 54%) for 17 points of damage. Dana has 121 HP remaining.

Kepé withstands the vapors partially (39 Fort save) and takes 1 point of Constitution damage. His Constitution drops to 22.

Kepé's cloud moves to 30N95E.

Kepé introduces Dana to his breath weapon, then takes off to the north, ending up at 105n65e20z facing west.

Dana moves to 60n40e and then puts up a wall of fire at 65e (between 60e and 65e, so Kepé is not actually in it yet), from 105n to the north wall, from 15z to 30z (inclusive). This effectively blocks off the northern "corridor" and gives Kepé some damage. Let's see if he can stop himself from flying through it.
