Lucian cooly looks the big Russian up and... well, mainly up.

"I didn't think you were here to serve the tea, sergeant. 'More personal in nature'? I take it that means you think with your fists?"

Without waiting for a reply, he turns and makes a gesture to a passing solider. "Private Jenkins? Show our guest down to the base." He looks back at Red Bear. "I'm sure such a loyal bolshevik won't mind kipping down in the thouroughly egalitarian barracks."

"Though my abilities make me special," Feodor replied, "I seek no special treatment."

Feodor addressed the private. "Comrade Jenkins, your assistance would be appreciated. I'm looking forward to the solid, honest lodging of the workers."

"G'day, mate." Captain Dundee says to the man next to him. "Goin' to London, too, I see. Would you care to join me for some grub?"

"That I am. You're Australian by the accent? I'm Doctor Nicholas Thimes." Nick holds out his hand for a quick greeting.

"I can certainly use the food, even Army food. Got to keep the old fires burning," he says, patting his thin stomach. Taking brisk steps Nick hustles into the officer's mess. He looks out of place, like he's uncertain whether to leave his hat off and tries to take his cue from the Australian.

"Nice to meet you, Doctor. I am Captain Paul Dundee of the Australian Special Forces." the Captain tells his new acquaintance. Dundee follows the doctor into the mess hall as he takes his hat off. "How come you are going to London, mate?"

As Lucian talks to the big russian, a tough looking but attractive Russian female officer steps up to you. "I am Major Ivanova" she waits for a second to see your reaction and then says " I am to be Sergeant Feodor Ilyushkin's liaison officer and I believe I will also have some command duties here as well. Here are my papers." She then looks to Feodor, "Sergeant you can go with this solider and get settled in."

Feodor is excorted down into the base through a tunnel that connects to the grain silo. He is amazed at the very hidden nature of this "headquarters". On the outside it looks to be a normal farm, but underneath it has a large and lush complex. A small pretty blonde female officer gives you a tour. It is furnished with several plush bedrooms, a library, a meeting room, a radio room, a dining hall, kitchen, a large map room, and several offices. There is even a small gym and shooting range. Feodor places his kit in a large richly decorated room with a very large bed. Soon you find you way to the dining room and you see a man dressed in civilian clothing (Mr. Buber) eating at one table. It is otherwise empty save for a waiter who seats you and takes your order.

Feodor walks over to the other man's table. "You do not look like you belong in a British secret facility. That's okay, neither do I," the Russian smiles. "Perhaps you are here on the same task I am, Comrade?"

A variety of emotions wander through Lucian's mind; surprise, confusion, amusement, scorn and interest being amongst them.

"Major... Ivanova? The Marksman, at your service..." he bows gallantly, taking her hand to kiss it. "A pleasure, I'm sure. As I was just saying to your man Red Bear, it's always refreshing to see our new comrade's attitude to equality of all men... and women, of course."

He straightens, and thumbs her folder of documents. "I... see... You'll wish to show this to the commander, I expect. May I escort you?"

Major Ivanova looks down at her hand with scowl. "I take it that is how the British Army salutes a superior officer?"

Taking his fedora off, Nick continues. "I'm not sure I can say specifically, loose lips and all that, but I suppose there's no harm in saying it's military related. Some special project. All that I'm sure you've already figured out, so I'm not revealing anything.

"To be frank, I haven't been completely briefed myself," Nick smiles.

The man in civilian garb looks up at Feodor.

"I might be, but as I am not sure what either of our tasks are...." He takes a bite of bread. "I am Moses Buber, and I am not a comrade, even though I have enjoyed the company of such and share your nation's desire to defeat Hitler."

Buber gestures to the seat opposite him.

"Sit, if you'd like. Maybe more soup can be brought out."
