Lost Eberron 4E Style: Combat over, Level up!

Lorn staggers back out of the stream falling to his hands and knees in the dry sand breathing heavily. After a few moments he rocks back into a kneeling position, gingerly he the bolt in his shoulder. It looked worse than it probably was, but it was going to have to come out of there.

Little bastard did a number on us, you lot alright?

He seems to be looking rather pointedly at Hesh as he says this.

Leaning heavily on his staff he climbed back to his feet. Looking up he studied the darkening shy for a moment.

We'd better bind him and get to shelter before we do anything else. I don't want to be stuck out here in that storm.

As The Lost go to gather walk to the goblin, they notice the creature is still breathing. The creature's skin is blistered and blackened from the fiery magic, and there is blood on his head from hitting his head on the ship as he tried to dodge the eldritch blast. A headband, covered in blood, circles around the creature's head. Around the side of the large ship there is a small fire, mostly coals, as well as some sort of meat, skewered on pieces of wood on the fire, which seems to be burnt.

Turning around they can see inside the large ship, through an opening in the side. A set of stairs ascends to the deck above, and a bedroll is spread out on the sand of the ground. It's outer layer is made of soft leather, the inner layer is a soft feathers.

Xandren binds the goblin, hoists the unconscious creature carelessly over his shoulder, and says "Where to? How much shelter do you lot need?"

Well, maybe we can ask the little sneaky guy how much shelter we can expect to find, for starters... comments Thormir, nodding at the goblin on Xandren's shoulder.

As Xandren slings the goblin over his shoulder, it grunts quietly, though still unconscious. The warforged sees what appears to be a set of dishes on the interior of the large ship. The tides probably won't reach the ship's interior, even with the two entrances into the hull.

The sun is quickly setting, the heat of the day diminishes, and sends a chill through those present on the beach. Clouds are gathering offshore, thunder and lightning, still flashing. A storm is imminent.

"Looks like this creature was sheltering in that ship," Xandren gestures. "Will that work for the rest of you?"

Lorn grimaced, this is hardly the time to be choosy, it will have to do.

He walked to the opening in the side of the wreck. Waving his hand over the top of his staff a soft warm light sprang up between the forks. Cautiously he stepped he stepped into the ship and looked around.

Providing nothing jumps out and tries to eat him, Lorn finds a relatively comfortable spot and sets to work on his shoulder before doing anything else.

spend 3 healing surges, or 2+2d6 if Hesh wants to give us an inspiring speech. ;)

Lorn walks into the underbelly of the ship. A few dishes are near one wall of the ship. Upon further inspection, they appear to be the molted carapace of the scorpions, hard and smooth, perfect for cooking. Other than the dishes and the fine bedroll, there is little else in the interior.

Begin short rest. Please include in your next post, your combat stats(including the surges spent). Also, unless somebody can convince me otherwise, if Hesh spends his inspiring word during combat, he can't use them during the short rest to give others extra hp.[/sblock]
