Mordenkainen's Tome Of Foes Showing Up In The Wild -- See These Preview Shots!

That tweet seems to have disappeared quickly - I can't find it on his account, unless I'm missing something. And it's not surprising if it has been removed as it's a month before even the FLGS release date!

Hiya.

Yeah...my Grognadian Curmudgeonitis must be acting up again. I see that cover and think... "I don't see Mordenkainen anywhere...why is it...oh...oohhhh. So, that bald guy with a black goatee is supposed to be him. I'd LOL if I wasn't so completely and utterly not-surprised-or-impressed". :(

Oh well, I supposed I should congratulate WotC on maintaining their 100% rating of me not having any desire what so ever of giving them any more money since the DMG. Good on you WotC! Keep it up! At this rate I can make it all the way through to D&D 6th Edition without handing out any money to you for anything. You can do it! I believe in you! ;)

Mordenkainen has been bald since late 2e. He's definitely quite bald on the cover (and in the illustrations inside) the 3e Living Greyhawk Gazetteer, as well as Expedition to the Ruins of Greyhawk, looking in both pretty much the same as he looks on the cover of MToF. So, not only are you judging a book by its cover, you're doing so on a change that happened approximately 20 years ago?

I am thinking this will focus on a Greyhawk take on things and races and such and touch on other settings and fitting them in if need be. If it is not Greyhawk focused then I will pass on it and buy something else like beer.

Give the guy a break - he just got back from Ravenloft. No wonder he's not exactly at his best! :)

You seem angry about something. What's up?
Can't an old grognard poke fun at his least favorite edition? I'd comment on other products so as not to pick on one all the time, but I can't wait that long for the next one to appear! Ba-dum! Ching!! *rimshot*

Oh yay. More halflings with gigantic heads...

Seriously, that is the worst artwork in the entire PHB and they decided to stick with it in a supplement?
