A golem with a vortex for a head struts into the arena to 75n10e and swings the chain at the dragon. An ominous moaning emanates from the vortex.

Mr. Dragon is not bummed out by the moaning (22 Will save), but Vortex-Head is bummed by spiked chain ability (natural 1).

Round 741: Mr. Dragon steps to 95N10E and breathes. Vortex-Head doesn't dodge (14 Ref save) and takes 41. He has 33 hp left.

Ole Vortex-Head will try to trip the dragon with his chain. If successful, he will also attack. If unsuccessful and successfully 'tripped' in return, he will drop the chain and then pick it up. If unsuccessful and not tripped in return, he'll attack. After all that, he'll step back to 70n10e. If he gets an AoO, he'll make a trip attack and not drop the chain (in the event of failure and return tripping).

VH barely touches the dragon with his chain (rolled 11), and manages to trip Mr. Dragon (17 vs. 15). Then he missses Mr. Dragon (rolled 17) and backs up to 70N10E.

Round 742: Mr. Dragon breathes. VH doesn't dodge (rolled 11 Ref save) and takes 53. VH is destroyed!

Next for NE: an uobilyth. (Lords of Madness) It is an aboleth with the air subtype and a fly speed of 60 (good). Use the psionics from the XPH.
