I don't think these are good vampires. I think this monsters vs. monsters. Which, you know, real world history showed that happening during World War II.

If this had the tone of VtM/VtR, it would be vampire-on-vampire violence with the protagonists being willing to destroy the Reich, rather than taking it over, as long as they could get their revenge.

The interview linked earlier doesn't explicitly answer this, but it does details the thought and design that went into this game. It seems like the designers really put a lot of effort and personal identity into this game. They identify that a lot of tropes about vampires also match harmful stereotypes of queerness or anti-Semitic propaganda. They also say the game is about seeing how far you are willing to go into becoming a monster in order to fight the monster of fascism.

All in all it seems to be going way, way beyond the "good vampire" trope.

Having caught a glimpse of the character sheets, and knowing that the game provides the characters rather than more traditional character generation, it seems each of the vampires has their own reasons to want to take on the Nazis.

So, I bit the ... Nazi and decided to back this at the last minute. Excited to play this, probably with the Inglorious Basterds soundtrack running in the background.
