Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything back from hafrogman or Olrox17. I'll PM them to see if that gets a response. We're in a holding pattern until then.

Forged Fury I'm back! Sorry for the prolonged silence, was on vacation in Florida and couldn't access the site on my phone. Because I couldn't remember my password. Yeah. Now, excuse me while I go sleeping off the jet lag :-S

Thanks for letting me know. With 3 of the original 5 back, I'm willing to move on. If hafrogman doesn't come back, I may seek replacement players for the two characters (Boddynock and Lorenzo).

I will be out of pocket for most of the rest of the day. I may or may not be able to get a post moving us forward today.

In the interim, can I get a marching order and a general description of the marching order (straight line, spread out, etc?). Feel free to place Lorenzo and Boddynock where you see fit.

For a default marching order, Lorenzo has AC 19 and 27 hp, Boddynock has AC 11 (or 14 with mage armor) and 30 hp, Gnorth has AC 14 and 31 hp, Brue has AC 17 and 39 hp, and Corilo has AC 16 and 36 hp. Lorenzo has the best AC, but he's also our healer and I wouldn't want to put him out front for that reason. Corilo has good AC and hp but is primarily a ranged weapon specialist. I think it makes the most sense to stick Brue in point position; she's got decent AC, the most hp, and, as a melee combatant, is designed to soak damage. She also has a little bit of healing at her disposal if she gets into trouble and Lorenzo or Gnorth can't get to her. That said, if someone strongly wants point position, it's all yours. This is what I propose for a default marching order: Brue, Corilo, Gnorth, Boddynock, Lorenzo.

Here, however, a straight line doesn't make sense. We're about to knock and announce at the manor's front door, so it makes a lot more sense to spread out. I think we should have someone kick in (I mean knock...heh) the front door, while two others flank the doorway, and the remaining two hold back in the wings slightly off to the sides (so there's not direct line of sight to them from whoever might be inside the manor house). If you want to stick Brue up front and center, she'll knock/kick in. Conversely, if someone wants to bash in the door, have at it (Brue will take a flanking position to either the left or right of the door frame, and will enter melee to provide combat support). This is what I propose for entering the manor house: Brue (front and center), Corilo (right side of the doorway), Gnorth (left side of the doorway), with Boddynock (ten or fifteen backward and at least one grid square to the side so as to avoid direct line of sight from the manor's occupants) and Lorenzo (same as Boddynock, only opposite side) in the wings.

If it helps, here's a battle map from the ogre attack if you all want to use it to give me something of a marching order. It will probably mostly only matter for opening doors into new rooms, but I'd like to have something on which I can fall back.

Barring any further input, I'm inclined to go with what CandienneBacon has posted. It seems reasonable and logical. I've got a couple of projects to knock out at work, but will have a post moving us along today.

Are you all knocking? What are you going to do if no one answers? Any precautionary actions or spellcasting? Please let me know today and we'll get everyone into the manor.
