If you're like me and have an office where you can listen to pretty much whatever music you want to listen to, or wherever you happen to be, I ask...whatcha listening to?

I started off the day by listening to Peter Gabriel's remastered albums, 2 (Scratch) and 3 (Melt); then moved on to "The Assembly" by Hukwe Zawose and Michael Brook.

I'm still 14, so I'm relaxing at home, so Quarashi's Switchstance, Xeneizes, and Jinx albums are pumping outta my speakers, as well as Eminem's The Eminem Show. I hate to say it, but Eminem can sing heck of a lot better than he can rap. :)

Lately it's been alot of The White Stripes, (De Stijl, White Blood Cells) ... The Strokes, The Shins, Clinic, The Hives, Detroit Cobras ...

If I'm in an odd mood I'll plunk in A3 or NIN. (The Nails always put me to sleep, though. Strange, that.)

For comedic sing-along value in the car, Tenacious D.

I'm currently listening to a pretty diverse selection of discs. The following are some recent favorites:

DJ Vadim's Life from the Other Side (awesome), Z-Trip's Uneasy Listening (unbelievably awesome), a collection of old soul tracks that have been sampled recently called Superbreaks (decent but uneven), William S. Burroughs's Dead City Radio (this is GREAT), a pretty mediocre collection of 70s porn music called "Deep Note" (not recommended, even if you think it sounds like fun--it's crap), a live Negativland disc (ranges from fun as hell to about that annoying, depending upon the track in question), and a fabulous collection of european sleaze/sex/spy movie music called Sex at Cinecita Vol. 1.

Plus the usual assortment of mp3s.

So far today, it's been the Velvet Underground, Tom Waits, Shane McGowan and the Popes, and Wilco. At the moment, it's Parliament.

Eminem, Manowar's new album (confusingly ineffective), Rhapsody, Anthrax.

I've recently had stints listening to Tenacious D, Iron Maiden, Wu-Tang Clan, and Coldplay.

Hmm... Well, not counting the hundreds of MP3's I got here... my "as yet unripped" stack of CDs:

Moby-- Play
Robbie Robertson-- Music for the Native Americans
The Best of the Lemonheads (Atlantic Years)
Vangelis-- Oceanic
Gorillaz
Pink Floyd-- Wish You Were Here

My car CD has been running John Mayer for about 2 weeks straight now... (Gotta learn the lyrics you know...)
