Looking at it from a collector's perspective, I'm happy with this. I'm missing one CotCT book(AP#8 if memory serves) and this will do nicely.

As for the paperbacks, I'm not sure on that either. I was half hoping, like others said, that it would be a skeletoned-down version of the full book, maybe with a focus on players, but doesn't look like it. Well, wait and see, I'll say.

This should work well for Paizo. Hearing a lot of worry over the future of Paizo and Pathfinder. Paizo, you should remember, is a very nimble company, and have shown they can respond quickly to changes in the market. They have taken some serious hits in the past and have come out strong. 5e is a very popular game, but with WOTC releasing very little, I doubt Paizo has much to worry about in terms of sales figures. I am sure there is a lot of Paizo products getting converted. I have played Pathfinder, 13th Age and some 5e. My Paizo products are a great resource no matter which game I'm playing!

I'm very excited about the compilation of CotCT. I'm running it now in a PbP format and it has always been very high on my list of favorite APs. And, from what I've seen, that sentiment is pretty widespread.

Lately, I've been wondering about how Paizo will handle product saturation, particularly on rulebook expansions. But right now, Ultimate Intrigue is generating a lot of positive buzz from subscribers getting their early access to the PDF.

This sounds good to me. I've always consistently heard good things about this AP (though I've never played it). I only recently departed from a prior Paizo AP for my 5e game (converting on the fly) and this might make for a good future choice to convert to 5e for me.

I also would have proffered a softcover players handbook+DM guide or races/classes/skills/feats+spellbook+DM guide. ATM the transition from the beginners box to the Pathfinder core rulebook is too steep.

I'm really excited about CotCT hardcover! Looking forward to adapting it to 5th Ed. It's so clear to me that Paizo has the best campaign setting and adventures, while WoTC has the best mechanics in 5th Ed.
