playing online ? Soon?

Anyone running an online game with game table or aim or something? Id really like to play but no one is around here in the summer =/.

I'm just looking into to putting something together now, having jumped on the 4e boat yesterday. I'm going to play around with Kloogewerks (kloogeinc.com) a little and see how well I can get a game definition and character sheet working.

I'm going to be playing in a campaign going up when the DDI VGT goes live, but I want to run my own offloading some mechanics onto the PC. Klooge is also written in Java, which is a bonus for getting players.

If things go well, I should get into my preferred mode of DMing one game over VGT, playing in a face-to-face game and playing in a virtual game.

I have been running games with gametable since I got KotS a week early. It works really well with skype for voice chat.

No, I'm pretty sure gametable is the name of a 3rd party chat/dice application that's been around for a while.

My personal favorite. They've really grown in functionality and have other tools like dice rollers and token makers available too.

I messed around with Gametable, but found it didn't quite do what I wanted. Still, that's entirely a matter of taste.

OpenRPG

There are a lot of proponents of OpenRPG. IIRC, there's even an online "convention" that uses it extensively as well. I was never able to figure it out. I don't claim that to be the fault of the program at all .

If you do decide to use OpenRPG at all, make sure to get OpenRPG+ rather than the regular one (v. 1.6.3 vs 1.7 something).
