D&D 5E Power Armor? Fallout Style

So about power armor requiring heavy armor and a tool proficiency?

I'd be tempted to go with just the tool proficiency. Part of the "Power" bit is that it's relatively easy to move around in, once you know what you're doing.

I don't have those source materials.

I don't need to duplicate FO4 100% but I want to spotlight the exploration pillar more. The wastelands might have bits of power armor in it.

This let's spellcasters aquire it easily. Mountain Dwarf Wizard.

Still it's more of a vehicle so hmmn.

In my Klassico setting, the Rock Gnome Fabricator's Guard have Gnomnite Power armor.

GNOMNITE POWER ARMOR
Armor (plate), very rare (requires attainment by a Small humaniod)

You are Medium size and your Strength score is 18 while you wear this armor. They have no effect on you if your Strength is 18 or higher without them. As a bonus action or reaction, you can doff this armor and be ejected 20 feet in a random direction.

Integrated Weapon System. Each set of Gnomnite Power Armor has 2 weapon systems integrated in its design by it's creator. Roll two 1d6 to determine which weapon is attached to the armor.

1	power fist (+1 heavy gauntlet)
2	+1 longsword
3	+1 heavy crossbow
4	+2 pick
5	spiral of flame (requires anaction to use)
6	gear of of lightning (requires action to use)

This is roughly what I'm thinking.

I won't be using the FO4 labels but will probably base it off animals/predators.

Lion/Tiger/Bear/Dragon something like that.

I'd probably base them off fantastic creatures rather than boring old mundane creatures. You already mentioned dragons, I'd use something like an owlbear over a bear or even something like demon power armour which could be a specialised version of T-60 equivalent with celestial another.

It'd be cool to see your ideas for the full setting once you've written up a bit.

It should not be common/uncommon item in any way.

Well there's 5 types plus uniques plus upgrades.

The settings gonna be after a war a'la fallout 4 so there's suits of it around. Plus Iay put in upgrades so fully upgraded Dragon suit will be nasty.
