my players are already asking for this book...can you give us some more details on it? what kind of PrC's? Any feats? Any equipment in this one this time or is still: PrC's, skills, feats, small bit of fluff.

Same format, of course: feats, skills, prestige classes. I would say that the only difference in format is that many of the new rules sections will include advice on how DM's may choose to limit them if they feel it's necessary (although personally I don't think it is...)

Some general feats for all sorts of elves, many feats to give them an affinity (and mastery) over their chosen "terrain," moving to more specific feats for wizards, including some with some "specialist" flavor.

No new equipment, although of course there's always a bit in the skills section under Craft-- we'll get to arcane spell failure modifications for armor (did anyone notice I hadn't included it in Dwarves?) as well as some things for bows (of course) and other elfy things.

Also in the skill section are a few things elves can spend skill points on to add a little depth of elven character.

An entire seperate chapter with extra stuff for wizards.

The prestige classes, of course, all wizard variants.

The final roleplaying chapter.

This stands to be the meatiest book yet, and it may well push out to 80 pages.

Going out to 80 pages eh? Breaking the standard can be a good thing. Is the main stream elf in the book going to be wood elf or high elf?

I had seen this question on our main forums but had not yet had a chance to answer it there.

There is no "main stream elf" treatment in the book.

The book works from the assumption that all elves jealously guard their seclusion in nature, whether it be in the woods, the wilds, under the sea or underground. The reason for this seclusion is discussed in the introductory and roleplaying sections (and as you can imagine, intertwined with their favored class), but the upshot of all of this is that there will be something included for elves from all types of terrain-- including options to trade out the usual longsword/rapier/bow weapon selection with something more appropriate (trident, crossbow, spear, what have you).

We don't go into deep detail on the naming of these different types of elves, leaving it entirely up to the GM, but the rules framework is there to support all terrain as well as cold and warm climates.

The wood elf and high elf stereotypes exist primarily because they are the most commonly encountered variants.

Normally, the next in the alphabetical order is Gnome.

What about half-elves ? Will they be covered in the elf-book as well, or will they get a whole book just for them ? And in the former case, what about half-orcs ? HoHF: Orcs, that would be quite fun.

Um... ok, lol.

1. HoHF: Dwarves was first.
2. HoHF: Half-Orcs was second (and it is "quite fun"). ;)
3. Elves is the third installment of the HoHF series, so Wulf isn't doing this by alphabetical order.

Perhaps he's using the Orc Alphebet? :D
