Pathfinder 1E Question about sneak attack

Light Knight

First Post
Have a combat running.

Have a rogue with a ranged weapon sitting at 20'

Also have other party members in combat...rogue isn't flanked at the moment.

Rogue has the ability to do a swift vanish.

His initiative...he does a swift vanish, 5' step, then fires at one of the baddies. Sneak Attack?

If the rogue counts as invisible, then the rogue ignores the targets dexterity bonuses to AC. If the target is denied its dexterity bonus to AC then the Rogue is allowed to use sneak attack.

This.

Also, the rogue doesn't even need to move from her position. Keep in mind that attacking ends the invisibility (if she is getting it from the Ninja Trick or other form of regular invisibility), so only the first attack is "sneaky".

I generally play the visibility rules so that opponents are flatfooted the entire round. Makes the build-up to create this situation actually worth it. Notice that the rogue is not supporting his party in any other way, he doesn't contribute to the "line" or provide flanking to anyone, so to still be a viable combatant he needs to do a LOT of damage. It is ALL he does.
