As far as the Bag of Holding as a tool for getting rid of monsters... Kinda anti-heroic to stuff someone in and wait for them to suffocate to death, isn't it?

Kinda evil, even. After all, the perpetrators would be knowingly inflicting a slow and painful death upon their victims. Allowing the bag/hole to be opened from the inside might preclude it becoming the bag/hole of cheesy, anti-heroic, slow death.

Oh, and I loved the tactic you came up with to nerf this abuse of an item. Place hole, shove monster, clo...BOOM! Sacrifice one monster and one item to remove both the offensive item and the offending players

Actually the best way to make this portable monster disposal unit work is to put some gelatinous cube in first. None of that lengthy suffocation downtime and you don't even have a body to worry about either. Just use a long hook to fish out the treasure occasionally.
