RPG Print News – Legendary Games and More

D&D5E, Cthulhu, Hero System, Marvel, and brand new RPGs and supplements are in print this week.

Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition gets more rules and Cthulhu gets more adventures for one GM and one player. Hero System is still around and gets a couple of supplements. Then there are brand new RPGs and supplements made with deep care and conviction ranging from martial arts to ending a campaign in a big way and more. There is even a new universal RPG available. Also that Marvel RPG we talked about last week is also available.

Note: RPG Print News covers new RPG releases and some classics, reprints, and sales available from retailers. It does not cover products that are only available directly to customers only through Kickstarter or as print on demand.

Eyes of Nine

Everything's Fine
A 6d16 system seems needlessly convoluted. What is their reasoning for it?

Per Matt Forbeck in the interview linked above...

All that said, we have a unique and easy-to-use dice mechanic that’s the core of our d616 System. You roll three regular dice — the kind you could borrow from any mass-market board game — and add them up. One of the dice is marked as a special Marvel die, though, and if you get a 1 on that die, something fantastic happens. This can trigger a special effect, cause extra damage, or do something even wilder.

It’s loads of fun and offers surprises every time you play.
