"Father is suffering from a rather indelicate complaint that inhibits his comfortable digestion, and also his gout is acting up quite alarmingly. Thank you for asking. I'll convey to him your wishes for his speedy recovery, Constable .... umm ....?"

"My name is Alarion, madmoiselle. Knight of distant Tovarre and Constable of the 14th Ward." He bows gallantly once more. "We have a priest of Meda in our ranks," he says, gesturing to Braevil. "Mayhap he can be of assistance."

He turns to Brae. "I do not mean to be presumptous, my friend."

Lady Veronica looks questioningly at Braevil Talisker, in response to Alarion's indication of the Priest.

[That's your cue, Lou.]

OOC: Yes, you're right, Lou. Silly me, confusing a monk with a priest. Rhun, do you have anything to add?

OOC: Sorry guys, life has been a bit hectic.

Braevil nods at Lady Veronica. "I am indeed a servant of Meda. If you could show me to your father, perhaps I might aid him in recovering from his ailments."

Lady Veronica conducts Brae and any others who so desire to her father Sir Upjohn's sick chamber, a sort of lesser parlour that has been converted to his use while he convalesces. Sir Upjohn is sitting up and seems to be going over a document with a portly man wearing an apron and a chef's hat. He jumps mildly when he sees you and quickly dismisses the man. "My Good Friends the Constables! Forgive my neglect of the proper courtesies, but I am rather, ah, indisposed." Lady Veronica gives you a knowing glance and raises one eyebrow as if to say that Sir Upjohn may appear to be well, but his condition is far more grave than he is willing to let on.

Raul glances at Alarion, Tau, and Soulfetter to see how the group plans to split, knowing the knight will likely accompany the cleric, but they all don't need to visit the ill Sir Upton until Brae has had an opportunity to heal him. Raul stands politely as the Lady escorts Brae and whoever out of the room, before turning his attention back to the young sisters.

Sir Upjohn's younger daughters are not insensitive to the monk's attentions, subtle though he believes them to be, and a cascade of juvenile titters and giggling can be heard emanating from their portion of the room.
