Searching a rule

Hi!

I was pretty sure that Weapon Specialization only works up to a range of 30 ft. ala Sneak Attack or Point Blank Shot. But I can't find it in the books now. Am I remembering an 3.0 rule that was changed in 3.5?

Could anyone give me a pointer, please?

Original poster is correct, limit was in 3.0 (and previous editions), removed in 3.5.

3.0 SRD
