Thankful that he will not have to fight alone Mathew grabs the stone from his pocket, opens door. Upon spotting the humunculi he points up stairs and in a stern voice says "GO!" .

ooc; woot! nicely done gents! Redclaw, can you cast the scroll defensively?

Seeing Lorth's semi-concealed form disappear into the fog and hearing the aberrant brute's cries, the Wizard knows the hour of victory or defeat is at hand. Grim determination in his almond eyes, Genithar drops his crossbow and dashes forward into the swirling mist upon silent feet, smoothly pulling his heavy Karrnathi longsword from it's battered scabbard.

A pair of struggling figures rear up to his left, Lorth mixing a more rigid martial art with the wild claws of his ancestry while the Brute attempts to crush the monk by strength of arm alone. Quietly, the elf continues past them, breaking out of the fog with a slight puff and dashes to the far wall, spinning as he puts his back to it.

Rapidly taking in the layout of the battle field, and the now surrounded aberrants, in the blink of an eye, Genithar's nasaly voice rolls over the chamber as he begins a complex incantation. Long deft fingers of his left hand flashing in esoteric movements the Wizard's spell reaches a crescendo as he shouts triumphantly, 'At'daskuna Monoxim!' and a light blue disk of energy forms in front of him before becoming insubstantial.

Finally, mystically armed and armored for battle, the sword wielding Wizard calls at the fog, 'Lorth! Disarm Him of his sword!'

ooc; drop crossbow as free action, move 20' forward and pulling sword as part of movement, casting shield, finally. word.

Showdown: Round 5

Lorth struggles with the brute, but the tenacious one slams a foot hard into his knee, preventing a solid grip. [15 fails opposed grapple check] Corran steps back, and in the instance his gaze turns away to fetch the scroll, one of the heavy pounces. Luckily, he blow is only grazing, though it was close to his neck! [Threaten crit but fails; 2hp] Scroll now in hand, the priest works out the difficult syllables just enough to fill Lorth with healing energy. His wounds close! [Makes caster level check; 8hp; Lorth 9/10] Behind them, Genithar moves out into the open, casting a spell of protection. [Genithar does not have a +1 BAB so cannot draw and move; I approximated his final position]

Downstairs, Mathew opens the dark to darkness. He stridently calls forth his will, and out of the darkness prowls a sleek, metallic form of a hound, electric sparks dripping from its jaws; riding it a bit of wisp of shadow. They bound up the stairs! [UMD 25 succeeds; Say hi to Doggie and Fetch]

The heavies swing sword and warded spell, but neither can land a strike. Balnibar's efforts are also in vain. And while the brute struggles, Lorth just barely manages to keep him from slipping out. [11 just succeeds on opposed grapple check]

ooc; word, SG, thanks. G will still set down his xbow, and begin to draw the sword.

Fully drawing his broad longsword from the worn leather scabbard, Genithar yells a nationalistic battle cry, 'Kooooth! Kooooth! Karrrrnath!' at the heavies, trying to gain their attention.

Bringing his blade into a horizontal guard, the Wizard begins chanting once more, the spidery words of magic flowing from his agile tongue. Necromantic energies flow around the elf, infusing his words with a sinister tone, as his long hair slightly lifts with contained magic.

Eyes flashing with power, Genithar points at the mist enshrouded heavy and commands in tones shot through with dark energy, 'FLEE!'

ooc; draw as move equiv, cast Cause Fear on Heavy in the middle. Will DC 15. Hells yes!

'i want the perpetrator spreading that horrible filth to be hunted down and flogged! heh... I knew saving the spells for the final fight was the way to go! Everyone else is kicking ace too! seriously though, a wizard at first lvl? I gotta hoard the power or perish!

"Woo-Hoo!!!"

Command Stone still in hand, Mathew moves as fast as he can back up the stairs and towards the battle. At the end of his sprint he yells "Help is on the way guys, just hold on!!"

Double move up the stairs. Will give Doggie and Fetch a new command next round.

OOC: Go doggie go!!! Lorth is not likely to be favorably inclined toward aberrants from now on. :)

Lorth continues his struggles, breathing easier with the healing spell taking effect. "Just surrender!"

Finish them fast, now that we have the upper hand! Corran shouts, getting a bit overconfident with the turn of events and the rush of endorphines brought on by his fresh wound. He steps up, draws his dagger, and tries to distract the heavy that Balnibar is fighting.
[sblock=ooc] draw dagger, 5' step north, aid other for Balnibar's attack [/sblock]
