So... I think I'm going to gracefully bow out here. I'm feeling rather intimidated by the game (and Fenris has played a lot and tried to go over things with me). And, we are headed off cross country to California on Wednesday and not coming back for 10 days, and it could be more before I get back online. Realistically I will be able to check in and post here and there but I def won't have time to make a character. Apologies if I bummed anyone out, this is a great group of players (and GM!!) and I really did want to learn. Anyhoo have fun all!

All: verdict is in. I have a Street Samurai (cyber) that Forged Fury drafted with input from me. Full faith and credit: he did 95% of the work. I'm waiting for my book to arrive on March 11th and then will post my character in the RG. I'll post her here as a rough draft in the OOC tomorrow so you can have a preliminary gander. Queenie, I'm no expert but Forged Fury did a brilliant job schooling me. Maybe I could help you fill in gaps if Shayuri and DT do the heavy lifting. Not trying to pressure you. Follow your gut, but know that help is available if you want it.

[MENTION=8058]Queenie[/MENTION] Shadowrun is a cyberpunk game, which means it's a late-eighties-to-mid-nineties game, which means throwing yourself at insurmountable, incomprehensible danger with no logical hope of success is par for the course. I'm not going to try building a character myself, just trying to inject my own personality into a pregen. I think that's good, for an introduction to a new game system.

Yep, at this point I am thinking we should just run with archetypes from the books from those that are struggling. For those that don't have the books, I can generate a character for them using their wants and the online generators or post an archetype for them to use.
