So to all the "you can forget about WotC ever releasing PDFs again" people I say nana-nana-boo-boo.

I'm happy to be wrong. Wasn't it Rouse who told us that WotC wasn't going to go down that avenue again because of the "problems" the first time around?

Both Rouse and Slavicsek are no longer with WotC. It's not surprising that different people have different perspectives on the same issues. Also, that happened a few years ago.

There was a website briefly visible (though obviously under construction) in whic a little of what we speculate to be WotC's new online publishing model was revealed.

Salient points

* The back end of the site appeared to be drivethrurpg
* There were five different file format options, including pdf. I would assume at least one of the others was an e-reader format of some sort, but I'm not familiar with those extension types.
* The domain registry simply lists godaddy (http://who.godaddy.com/whois.aspx?domain=dndclassics.com&prog_id=GoDaddy), registered about a year ago.
