I might as well give you my developments in dungeon building.

  • For you dungeon, roll a D6 for how many floors there are.
  • Then roll a D6 for how many rooms on the floor your on. (You roll each time you go up or down a level. This needs work)
  • Use the Dungeon Dressing Table 4-5 (DnD 3e DM Guide) Roll a D100 6 times for furnishing.
  • Use the Dungeon Dressing Table 4-6(DnD 3e DM Guide) Roll a D100 6 times.
Thoughts? Things to add? "What do you guys think?

Thanks everyone.

Right an update on the rules I'm using for Solo Play...

  • Use the tables above to develop the layout (from 4e DMG)
  • Each room you are in roll 1D6 for how many monsters there are in there.
  • Each corridor you are in roll a 1D3 for how many monsters there are.
  • You then roll a 1D10 for how many monsters to work out what the monsters are. (I've made a list)
  • Roll a 1D6 for the monsters favoured actiob (using the table above)
I've also made a 1D20 table for the rooms furnishing.
I'd like to thank everybody for the input, the tables you posted etc, they really have helped and its appreciated.

I think there was also a solo adventure published in Dragon some months back - and while only one adventure, might serve to help show ways it can be done.

That is a good point, of course I could just use tunnels & trolls.

I guess I Just want to create it myself, put some hard work into it and its something to do over the next few days until Christmas while I'm off. I would love go see that Solo Adventure if someone could find it.
