Sore losers

Preach on. This playoff thing, though, seems to be a total farce. Lots of sexist comments about Condi being on board, too. Lame.

Anyhoo, the main issue with this is that some programs may be totally lost since the schools will probably no longer be able to afford to have them. That means less talent in the pool - and yes, kids from lower tier schools do get drafted and do play well. They may never get that chance if the little schools lose their teams. Could be a ripple effect that hurts the NFL.Maybe if they just split the two into divisions that never cross it'd work. Lesser expectations means less money required to compete maybe, I dunno.
I don't know, it actually cost schools a lot of money to play, especially bowl games, without getting a return on investment. They could probably use the money they save to get more good players. The players themselves could benefit. they need to get that bs about players not being able to make any money when the schools and the NCAA make a ton of money off of them. Some of these college players end up getting hurt and lose any chance of going pro, and all they get is a garbage bs degree in communications. for some reason that is what every student athlete wants to study

Yeah, but they also get paid a lot to lose to good teams and that isn't gonna happen any more soon. Srsly, an Akron vs Michigan game like this year probably netted Akron six figures for the loss (they almost won, too) and got the kids and team exposure. Playing as well as they did in the Big House probably got them more money from boosters, too. It's a big deal and it's the only reason these programs send their kids to slaughter.

The BCS thing is a whole other hot mess. It's insane that it costs schools money to play in their 'reward' game. Those little schools really eat it.

Obviously you're a lying liar that lies. Everyone knows there are no colleges in Akron. The highest grade you can get to in school in Akron is 2nd grade.

Yeah, it's ridiculous. The schools have to pay so much they end up losing money. They just aren't going to get it back. Those small schools shouldn't even bother with bowl games. They may as well save the money and grown their school and their athletic programs.

So what? is 40-0 not enough of a loss..?
What did you want the winning coach to do? He played his 3rd string, ran out the clock as much as possible, and did everything except put in the water boy as quarter back. Nothing in the news states the division has a "mercy rule". And if the mercy rule exist , can the winning side invoke it?
Dealing with the fact the rules do not allow the losing side to quit. Lesson- sometimes the rules suck.
Dealing with the fact they were outclassed. Lesson - someone is always going to be much better.
Dealing with the fact some adult started the complaint. Lesson - some parents are goobers when their kids lose.

i didn't say the winning team, or the coach of that team, did anything wrong. My complaint is regarding people saying that not having a mercy rule is good because life doesn't have a mercy rule, out the kids have to learn a lesson. [Qyote]Nothing in the news states the division has a "mercy rule". bad rules can be fixed. Also, any team has the iron to forfeit at any time. The losing team's coach should have forfeited the game when it became obvious there was no way this was going to be a competitive game.

Is humiliating the kids the only way to teach them that lesson?

And they have a right to be upset. You don't get to choose what gets parents upset.
