'She thought it when I ask her 'bout suspects.'
What a development! Avatar quickly grasped the implication and replied to her mentally: "So she gave us a list of suspects and didn't mention him, but thought about him when we asked. Very interesting...if she wants this thing back that bad, why wouldn't she mention someone who had been kicked out of the club? I'll mention it on the plane."[/sblock]

Avatar was disappointed that HQ didn't have an answer right away, but there was only so much that could be done. He explained his plan to send Psyren and Paladin to Christie's, and Wheeler agreed that hitting them from both sides would likely be more productive than anything HQ or the Resolutes could do on their own.

After several calls, he made his way forward again, and explained that Heathrow had gone from a "maybe" to a "definitely". Dick, of course, was right on top of it; he had already planned the short flight across England and was filing his plan with air traffic control by the time Avatar left the cockpit.

When he got back to the cabin, Avatar relayed the news. "People, I need your attention for a bit. Wheeler's working on getting Christie's to cough up the buyer of that Tablet, but they don't want to budge. He can do it the hard way, but we'll probably get there first. Psyren, Paladin, that means you'll be visiting London-town. When you do that, I want it clear who's in charge. Since you're there to gather information, I want Psyren to take the lead. There's one exception, if you come under attack, Paladin's the fighter, and he gives the orders until the fight's over. Paladin, try to not get distracted from finding out where that Tablet went...there are a lot of wrongs to be righted in London, and if you try to tackle them all, you'll never get anything done.

Oh, and there's still a chance that Dr. Theodopolis might come through for us, but for now we'll plan on splitting up. And Sergeant, our invite at Lord Brixton's manor just came through, he's eager to see us. Anyone got anything else? Ok, that's all for now."

"The mask of the sorcerer who attack the museum was the mask of Amar-Sin. If we find who was in possession of teh mask that night, we have found our sorcerer... now, we need to determine one thing."
Avatar was pleased. This team was working together well! "Great work, Sergeant!", he commended. He marvled at Sergeant's careful enhancement of the museum footage.

"Does Dawson (or the mask wearer, if it isn't in Dawson's hands anymore) is a Super, or his power are coming form the mask. If we can have the answer of that, we will know how to neutralize him."
Avatar shrugged. "I think the only one who knows for sure is Dawson, and he's not exactly cooperating right now. But that's still a good tip...if we end up facing this guy, try taking the mask away from him." After a pause, he added, "Well, it can't hurt to try."

OOC: Just wanted to confirm the plan. All of the group is going to Brixton's. Then Avatar and Sergeant will stay and Paladin and Psyren will head to Christies. Will Paladin and Psyren actually meet with Brixton or not, or will they stay on the vigilant and fly off? You can also fly the vigilant and land it on Lord Brixton's chopper pad.

OoC: I don't think we're in that big a hurry just yet. We'll head to Manchester International, an international port of entry, and check in with the local authorities. Wheeler has probably already notified them of our impending arrival, so "clearing customs" should be largely a formality. From there, we can head to the helipad (just a few minutes journey, as it's SW of Manchester and the airport is not far from there). We might have Psyren and Paladin meet and greet Lord Brixton at the helipad, but that's it...then they'll be off to London. Sergeant and Avatar will go inside. Dick will fly Paladin and Psyren to Heathrow, which is the closest airport to South Kensington (I'm thinking that any heliport closer than Heathrow is probably not rated for a craft as large as the Vigilant; although the west side of London is a little more wide open than the east side, it's still going to be too crowded for a sizeable heliport). There are numerous ways to get from Heathrow to the auction house. Worst case, they can take the tube: it's about 55 minutes each way, and South Kensington station is 2 blocks from Christies. Best case, if Wheeler works his magic, there'll be a car and police escort waiting at the airport, figure about 25 minutes travel time in that case. My biggest worry there is that Psyren and Paladin will be out of comm range for a while since they'll be away from the Vigilant, but that really can't be helped. Lord Brixton's estate should be well-connected so Avatar and Sergeant should at least have easy access to HQ. (Rumor has it that Lord Brixton is a big video game buff; it's one of his three consuming passions along with the study of the dawn of civilization and the Bolton Wanderers. At least those are the rumors I've heard. ;) ) From there, the plan is a little fuzzy, but it probably involves Dick flying back to Risley (Brixton's estate) to pick up Avatar and Sergeant while Psyren and Paladin jaunt into town, and then everyone meets up someplace like Heathrow.

Of course, if Dr. Theodopolis drops some tasty information on us, some of all that could change...

OOC: I'm admitedly a bit distracted at the moment ;) Psyren does not want to wait in the back though, and would rather be talking to people, using her diplomacy, mind reading, and such.

OOC: Very Understandable. Hope the newlywed scene is going great. You've been posting a lot more than I expected. I thought we wouldn't hear from you for a week or so. If you agree I would like to have phoenix8008 run Psyren for an NPCing that needs to be done. That way he gets to have a little more play in the non-action scenes. I'm really liking all the characters and everyone's play so far. The pace is going quick, I might have to be thinking about running something else soon. :D Do you think you will be regular on antiques and help wanted? I can always run GM a little more in HW if need be.

OOC: Not sure if I want to volunteer for that at this moment. Thanks for thinking of me though. I'll try to post a little more in the conversations as Paladin without going all Once and Future King returned to Britain to rule and such.... I know my character isn't all that outside of combat, but I don't have the access time I would need to be that into it currently. Once again, thanks for the offer, but I'll decline for now as I wouldn't want to misplay anyone else's character either. Plus bouncing back and forth between the French accent and attempts at Old English I think I'd go nuts! :)

OOC: I wouldn't worry about trying to speak in Psyrens voice. Just say she asks about this item or that, or that she is using ESP. I really like Paladin, he's a very interesting character. I'm sure he'll evolve as time goes by. I wouldn't be able to maintain an accent like that myself, but I think it adds a lot of flavor to the game. If you still don't want to do the NPC thing we should probably hold off, or arrange the plan a little differently. Since your in an information gathering stage I don't want to limit how much you'll find out by NPCing the encounter myself.

OOC: I don't want to hold up the game or anything. Maybe we should all talk with Lord Brixton (So Psyren can use any skills there), then we could all go to Christie's. I'm not trying to change the plan, but if Bront wants Psyren to use her skills when possible then what else should we do? I mean, if all I've got to do is say Psyren is using her telepathy at Christie's while Paladin and her ask questions, then consider it said. I just don't want to step on any toes or hold up the game.
