The FFM Demonstration (Velmont): Completed

[Master Pelle]

Gauntlet leaping into air while he flying through the air to one of the robot. Gauntlet successful grabbing on the robot and pulling it down into the ground. When they falling down to the ground, the robot was smashing into small parts when it hit into the ground.

Monkey Wrench throwing her wrench at the last robot but the robot dodged her throw. The last robot is hovering in the air while it start to speak. "Metahumans is difficult to fight against. Calling for reinforcement."

Suddently another three robots appear from the sky and this time, they are bigger.

"Oh, dat looks like more trouble then a green snake in a sugar cane field" Echo remarks as three larger robots enter view.

"Guantlet, do you think you can take one of those down, and if not do you think Monkey Wrench can increase your blasting power?"

Gauntlet narrows his eyes at the approaching reinforcements

"Guantlet, do you think you can take one of those down...".

He wasnt sure. The first robot had crumbled easily, but three more, and larger than before? Where are these things coming from anyway. Not havin time to contemplate that while the robots were attacking, Gauntlet sprang into motion.

His body whirred harmoniously as his cybernetic legs carried him with towards the new arrivals. While certainly not the fastest of metahumans, Gauntlet was no slouch in the running department. The pavement cracked slightly under his feet as the massive Russian tore towards his foes. (land speed = 25mh) As he neared the area where the new robots were approaching from he took a quick moment to make sure no one was about nearby and directly above him who could be hurt by what he was about to do. It was a risky maneuver with a large area of effect, but his guns were most likely useless here...

With less than a thought Gauntlet's enormous metal arms clanked to life, engaging their full power. It sounded as if someone has started some kind of massive construction machine which was about to tear away at a building, which wasn't far from the truth. Steam or smoke even boiled forth from tiny ports on Gauntlet's shoulder as he reared his arms back, and then brought them together with unbelievable force, the >clang< of metal against meal was almost deafening, but was overshadowed by the conical blast wave which emanated out from Gauntlet's hands, angled upwards towards the approaching large robots.

Gauntlet will move beneath the robots and use his "shockwave" ability (sub abilty of super strength). This will create a cone of damaging force 100ft long and 100ft wide at the end. Gauntlet will try to catch as many robots as possible in the cone without injuring people or nearby structures. The ability inflicts stremgth dmg (DAMAGE SAVE DC = 25) which can be reduced by a successful reflex save (REFLEX SAVE DC = 20, DAMAGE DC = 20 IF SUCCESSFUL)

Monkey Wrench pulls another wrench out of her toolbox, this time signifigantly smaller than the first.

OOC: Ok, I think that need your attack rolls Modus.

no attack roll needed for area affect attacks.

ooc: umm... area attacks do not use attack rolls, see the M&M book pg 159 for explanation of are attacks, the cone produced by shockwave (see pg 105) hits all target in the area. opponents with evasion may avoid the effect entirely if they make their save however. otherwise the famage bonus is rduced by half (+5 instead of =10 in my case)

[SBLOCK=OOC]Modus666 is right, there is no attack roll necessary on that power. All area effect power doesn't need an attack roll but allow a reflex save to reduce the DC.[/SBLOCK]

Gaunlet made a powerful shockwave at the larger robots. All of them got hit by his powerful wave but somehow they successfull resist the wave.

Monkey Wrench throwing another of her wrench at one of the robot but somehow it don't make much effect on it.

The three larger robots started to blasting at them. One of the blast hit on Gaunlet's chest while Echo got hit on his shoulder.

I always though that you even make a attack roll when you do area attack until I have readed the rules...

But anyway. Modus and Raylis, make a toughness roll against DC 27.

Gauntlet's eye go wide as the robots ignore his shockwave attack. They withstood his most powerful attack, and didn't budge...

His shock turned to panic as one of the mahcines turned it's blaster on him. Gauntlet tried to shield himself with his massive metal arms but...
