Kaltesis draws his sword and axe.
"Beware friends, there are undead nearby. I fear they may even be inside the shrine"

"Thank you for the warning Kaltesis." Larris checks his armor and weapons then readies his shield and a javelin.

Like the others, Aidan nods in thanks towards Kaltesis. He then slips his mace free of his belt and unslings his shield uttering a quick prayer to Aeos under his breath.

OOC: Note this is just a prayer. Not a spell. Just like, Oh great, not again.

Erkenbrand swears under his breath.

"Why in the name of every god under the sky must they always be in buildings."

After saying this he draws his sword and sets his shield on his arm, Frea doing the same.

OOC: Is there any way at all that a character could fight from horseback in this place?

OOCs: Calimorton still has his cutlass. All the characters are at the shrine, unless they specifically choose not to be. The shrine itself is a simple stone building, 30' wide by 60' long. Two side rooms measure 15' by 20' in a roughly cruciform shape, with the main doors being at the base of the cross. A graveyard extends to the edge of the cliff, behind the shrine. About 100' to the left of the shrine is a small, well kept house.

Cryndo

Aaldar Human Wizard

Aaldar stops in his tracks and begins casting a spell. By Karn. I don't like the looks of this.

ooc: Aaldar casts Luminous Armor on himself.

It is said that no good deed goes unpunished. Thus, as Aaldar casts his spell, and feels his strength leak away (2 str loss), two crossbow bolts are fired, from the belltower of the shrine. In the dim light, two pairs of green, glowing eyes can be seen. One of the bolts strikes Aaldar (7 points) almost, but not quite, interrupting his spell. The other just barely misses Erkenbrand's horse.

Larris has a javelin ready and will hurl it at the target in the tower following it with another quickdrawn from his quiver. "Shall we charge the shrine?"

ooc: Javelin +8/+3 1d6+3 20/x2 30’ range +1 attack if within 30' and another +1 to attack and damage if after Oxana in the order.
He will either draw sword and charge into the shire or continue hurling javelins depending on the decision of the other.
