Surely someone has mentioned Dark Sun halflings? I never played one (or any Dark Sun for that matter), but one showed up in our party in a planar campaign I played in in college.

That little guy was off the hook, and unhinged to boot. A lot of fun to play alongside, once he focused his energies on mindblasting the badguys instead of gnawing on the other PCs.
