I have drawn up a Teifling Psychic Warrior 5 for a Dawnforged Game. Teiflings don't make great fighters, with -2 str, +2 dex, -2 con, +2 Int racial stat adjustements, so I was originally looking to create a dex fighter with damage ability boosted by psionic powers (Animal Affinity for Dex bonus, boosted for str bonus is an option as well) and feats (Psionic Weapon, Deep Impact, Narrow Mind, Psionic Meditation). I like the idea of Animal Affinity. But the whole thing is a bit of a mess, and clunky. Too much manifesting and attempting to regain focus in combat.
So on a whim, I thought I would see what I could do with a straight fighter.
[bq]Fighter 5
Str: 13 (+1) [06 points, -2 racial, +1 level]
Dex: 20 (+5) [16 points, +2 racial]
Con: 14 (+2) [06 points, -2 racial, +2 racial]
Int: 14 (+2) [02 point, +2 racial, +2 racial]
Wis: 12 (+1) [04 points]
Cha: 12 (+1) [02 points, +2 racial]
HD 5d10+10 (hp 40)
BAB +5
Fort +4
Refl +1
Will +1
--- Feats ---
Level 1 - Weapon Finesse.
Fighter 1 - Weapon Focus (Rapier).
Fighter 2 - Dodge.
Level 3 - Quick Draw.
Fighter 4 - Power Attack.
+1 Rapier +12 melee (1d6+2, 18-20/x2).
* with Power Attack (4) Rapier +8 melee (1d6+6).[/bq]
Is power attack with a rapier legal? Am I missing anything.
Alternatively, I was thinking of taking Weapon Specialisation at 4. It doesn't give the damage bonus of Power Attack, but it is always on.
