Lame, I just notice animals can't get feats.
So I have to do them x4 because they can't get Run Feat.
Oh well, it only makes the animal's base speed faster.

Top speed 65mph (x4 = 650ft)
Normal 16.25mph (162.5ft)

Pronghorn Antelope
Top speed 55mph (x4 = 550ft)
Normal 13.75mph (137.5ft)

Mongolian gazelle
Top speed 50mph (x4 = 500ft)
Normal 12.5mph (125ft)

Springbok
Top speed 50mph (x4 = 500ft)

Grant's gazelle
Top speed 47mph (x4 = 470ft)
Normal 11.75mph (117.5ft)

Thomson's gazelle

MythandLore, this is a great start.

Are these the average speeds for each animal, or the fastest clocked speeds?

Average Fastest clocked speeds for the most part.
A good example is the American Quarter Horse (fastest sprinting horse in the world - it WILL beat any other breed in a quarter mile run)
Top speed 43mph (x4 = 430ft)
Normal 10.75mph (107.5ft)
The Fastest American Quarter Horse ever was 43.+ miles per hour.
For the most part there is a max high range for animals people etc.
That's why races can be won in thousandths of a second.
Even if some thing is a few seconds behind it's in a close range, as if dnd has much space for range. :)
Solid numbers on animal speeds are hard to come by.
The more people study animals, the more they find they don't know about them.

What? Me Worry?
I remember that in one of the previous editions - 1e or 2e - that the movement rates presupposed that the movement was being done carefully. That is, moving warily, keeping eyes and ears open for danger, moving in such a way so as to avoid presenting a wide-open target. I don't think the same is exactly true in 3e, but it might be good to either consider that when calculating real movement rates so as not to have to change all move rates for everything, or, as mentioned, change the move rates for everything.

???
Have I listed things that need to be changed?
Though it is very clear now the fastest runners in the world today would be slower then a barbarian with the run feat.

I wasn't necessarily commenting on what you posted; it just happened to remind me of something I had thought about before when real world speeds of creatures were posted.

Oh, okay, you had me all confused for a while there. :)

Here's my first shot at these creatures. I'm open to suggestions.
