Following slightly behind the others, Mavox wondered if this was a good idea. While he knew that it was important to make as many allies as he could among all those that passed through his city, the majority of those gathered, save the large northman who towered above them all, seemed ill suited to challange the rot that was slowly eating the core of the city.

~Perhaps this is a test by Hoar to see if my faith in his will is stronger than my fear of leaving the city unprotected...~

As they entered the alchemist's quarters, Mavox was shocked at the display of wealth around him. For the cost of the rug that he walked upon, a shelter could have been filled with food for a year.

~Or perhaps Hoar has led me here to teach this man the lesson of false pride and vanity...~

Staying silent as the man sat down, Mavox stood a few paces from the elf and leaned against the wall slightly as the others settled themselves in.

Hanging in there. Better than the alternative.
Mardin enters the room and finds a comfortable looking seat to sit in. At first, he is oblivious to the setting, but bit by bit, various trinkets start to interest him. He spends some time looking around the room before he catches himself, "Ah, yes. We are to go to the Undermountain? I do not know much of this place, if someone could explain it..."

As Garret enters he removes his damp cloak and places it on the hearthstones to dry before launching himself into a plush chair, where he sits silently awed by the level of wealth on display.

This is a level of comfort I could definitely get used to.

Langan stands as he doesn't see a seat scaled for dwarves. "Do you have anything to chase the chill from our bones? That rain was a soaking one."

After a few moments, Barnaby returns with a tray of tea and serves all of you a glass. "mmm here you go nice hot tea, good!" The flying creature gidily excalims.

After the tea is served, Kapp clears is throat, "So ye want to help me find my apprentice Shalara?"

"If you want to I can not thank ye enough, but know this, Undermountain is no place for fools, ye must tread its passages carefully."

"Undermountain was created by a clan of dwarves ages ago, before Waterdeep was even here. It has allways been a haven to monsters after the dwarves were forst to abandon it."

"A few centuries ago a crazed wizard named Halaster and his lackeys moved in and made the Undermountain even more dangerous, by adding all sorts of devious traps....however that is not the worst of it, Halaster has also made portals to snag unwary people and deposit them on other planes with no way home."

Looking at Luth, "Now good Sir, I will have you to know that should you find my apprentice with the brothers Roaringhorn, they are not to be harmed, they mean well, but they are bit adventureous. Also they are a nobles of the city and one of the most beloved. They are the sons of Vastarr Roaringhorn, the head of the family no less. The boys are twins too, they are Vastarr the Younger and Moldive. Ye should escort them out too as well...do not harm them."

"As for payment for your services, I will offer 100 gold pieces for their safe return, and I can offer you each a potion I have in stock."

"What say ye?"

Gorstag answers, "I feel it is my duty to help keep Waterdeep nobility out of trouble and to prevent them from causing harm to come to your apprentice. Count me in."

Almost leaping out of his seat, with only his quick reflexes saving his half finished tea from a meeting with the floor, Garret enthusiastically replies, "An adventure and a reward, I'm in!"

*Luth nods in agreement to the Master Alchemist.*

"Very well, I pledge to make my best effort to return the Roaringhorn brothers and your apprentice Shalara. Your reward is fair," he says, placing his hand over his holy symbol. "Though those boys deserve a good tongue-lashing and punishment for luring youths to such recklessness. I shall leave that to the authorities, however. What do Vastarr the Younger, Moldive, and Shalara look like? And what skills do they have? Should danger find us while we're attempting to escort them, it should be known if they need to be kept totally protected, or if they can fire arrows or magic at their attackers."
