Which really makes you wonder why they even called it Glasssteel in the first place.

Glassteel (as defined by WotC) seems to have game effects that are a lot like mithral.

The 3.0 version was the best of adamantine and mithral rolled into one fluffy package...same hardness and HP as adamantine, same weight reduction as mithral, and glassteel weapons even breached DR like adamantine.

IIRC, the 3.5 version is similar, except they removed the breaching property from the weapons. It's still a good weapon material, because it's tough and light and looks wicked cool. Don't quote me in a court of law, though, as I haven't been able to get my friends to pick up CoV.
