I started running "season 2" of our Spirit of 77 campaign last Friday evening. So77 is the Powered by the Apocalypse game based on basically all 1970s media, everything from Shaft to The Dukes of Hazard to The Warriors and more.
See, the thing is I was 8 in 1977. So the campaign became based on all the bad TV I watched in the 1970s and 1980s with whatever other references I threw in on a whim.
The final 'episode' of season 1 ended with the good ole' boy truck driver driving the Love Boat -- which was actually a front for the Justified and Ancient Underwater Kingdom of Mu and powered by a giant crystal -- into the pink submarine a group of would-be hijackers -- from F.A.R.C.E -- were using as a base. The previous session had an Evel Knieval-style motorcycle jump across the pool onto the Lido deck as part of liberating the ship. So it ended on a high note.
Problem is, everyone ended up wanting to create new characters. So "Laser Truck Force" was cancelled and a bunch of new shows will take its place: "Fury Gellar", "The Sid and Marty Vicious Show", etc.
I need to re-think the campaign somewhat. The next part's still called "And if California Slides into the Ocean...", tho.
