*Kauldron looks back and forth between the groups getting ready to head out and gather what is need. He quirks an eyebrow as he stands there looking rather puzzled. He shrugs and continues to smoke his cigar.*

[sblock=Skills]Don't really see a point for Kauldron to join in on this. He doesn't have any of the skills trained and no wisdom modifier. Only a mighty +4 to any of those rolls.Any talking, or Athletics needed. He in.[/sblock]

GM: Cyr (Dungeoneering): You identify the almost all of the natives are wearing jewelry adorned with rock crystal quartz. You are guessing it holds some significance to the tribe.

Such crystals would most easily be found in low-lying hills that are intensely weathered.

GM: Nature to find a likely location.

GM: This game has been lagging, my time hasn't been what it was at the beginning of the year. It's caused my desire to continue the game to wane. Since it isn't fair to keep you hanging, I'm going to wrap up the game and let you guys try to play something that will be a bit more active instead.

You had finished over half the skill challenge with no failures, so I'm just going to call it a success.

Earth and Cyr eventually find a few gifts to bring to the village elders. After successfully negotiating your way into a meeting, you present your gifts and begin to converse with them. It is obvious to Martelai that the shaman is suffering some sort of mental affliction. But as expected he does not allow himself to be examined. Martelai suspects he is somehow enchanted, but are unable to determine how and the chief does not force him. The queen is visibly ill, weakened by some disease. When Tarkus examines her, he finds nothing wrong with her other than her general malaise. It is only after that Cyr notices a nearly imperceptible sliver embedded beneath her skin by her shoulder blade. Carefully, Tarkus extracts the sliver. The chief explains that the shaman embeds slivers of iron into the mightiest of warriors to protect them from the fey. and it is Earth that notices that the sliver is not made of iron, but rather silver.

Turning to the shaman, the queen roars with anger. The shaman raises his staff, but never sees Dox in the shadows. The assassin quickly burries a dagger in the witch doctor's back. In the meanwhile the queen has finished her transformation taking a form between her human self and a white tiger. Enraged, the weretigress tears into the body of the shaman but a tentacle springs out of the wound and begins to strangle her.

Collected as always, Kauldron follows the tentacle back into the gaping wound where he notices an eye peering back at him. He takes his lit cigar and jabs it into the aberration's eye. The creature recoils releasing the queen. The creature fully emerges, which Martelai recognizes as a Tsochar, a skin-wearer. The Tsochari are an alien race from the realm of That Which is Far.

With the chief and his queen saved, and the abberant influence over some members of the tribe discovered, they quickly agree to return the items as well as trade a few more useful trinkets. You report back to Elvidra, telling her that her sister is like influenced by abberations, a fact that troubles her deeply. She thanks you and you make your way back to Duanton.

You arrive back in Daunton with only hours to spare. Valkin jumps higher than you would have expected was possible at the sight of your arrival. He has a large crew of volunteers ready to move the goods off the ship and help set up.

Valkin invites you to partake in the celebration. Even though it is aimed at the children all are welcome to celebrate the solstice.

What You've Always Wanted
You have been invited to the solstice celebration that you helped save. At the celebration you are presented with a gift that happens to be just what you've always wanted. You may immediately acquire one wondrous item (except tattoo) of level 11 or lower, alternately the gift may be up to 4500 gp worth of rituals, alchemical formulas and/or components, 3000 gp of consumable items, or a mundane but intricate toy that can be sold for 1800 gp.

Favor of the Toymaker
Valkin is eternally grateful for your help. As such he is always willing to assist you by doing what he does best. From now on, whenever you are in Daunton (between adventures or during adventures with DM permission), you can purchase non-rare heroic tier wondrous items (except tattoos) and non-rare heroic tier consumable items at a 10% discount.[/sblock]

GM: Major Quest - Complete!

You need to return the shipments of supplies from Solstice to Daunton in time for the festival. In order to accomplish this task by the deadline, you'll be able to take no more than one extended rest during the adventure, so use your resources carefully.

@Son of Meepo, Can't give you XP, but I would for your persistence. Thank you for very well thought out game. If you decide to return to DMing at some point, give me a nudge.
