(YBA) Diaochan alone in Wicht's Lair

Wicht

Hero
The story thus far...

Diaochan, wandering Wicht's lair alone has done a lot of exploring, mainly via the giant trash pit that connects each level of Wicht's Lair.

Puzzled by how it all fits together, Diaochan has discovered that there are ghouls in the cemetery with connections to the pit, Orcs on the second level of the lair, Werewolves on the fourth level and a great city, the city of the Bard, on the fifth level.

Everywhere she went, she tried to use the cover that she had a message to deliver to Wicht. The response was always, "the shortest way to Wicht is through his tomb in the cemetery."

Having heard in the city of the bard that there is a great arena in which many of the fighters in the city plan on competing in, Diaochan has decided to find it. The fights in the arena though are to the death and the fighters in the city are beginning to be disillusioned about their chances of survival.

Diaochan asks around North Cross street in the city of the Bard concerning directions to the arena and is told to head onto south cross street to the end and then go west around the northern end of the lake of dreams, and through the "Bizarre."

As she casually works her way south. Trying to talk to people as she goes. Diaochan makes it from north cross street to south cross street.

The people Diaochan talks to, many of them seem almost as new to the city as she is. She does discovers from one intrepid individual that there is theoritically a door out of the city in each of the four pillars holding up the cavernous roof high above. Two of them lead up and two of them lead down.

As she nears the end of south cross street, Diaochan sees a large two story house lies at the end of the street, a sign above the door reads, "The house of Tutul." Paths lead around the house, though it looks like most people travel around the house to the right, going south west.

Going past the House of Tutul leads to the northern end of a great plaza. Fancy houses are built on either side of the plaza and at the far southern end is a castle of sorts. There are many red robed guards milling about the plaza.

The main road seems to lead west. To the east, Diaochan can see the south east pillar not very far away from the plaza

Nobody will answer Diaochan as she tries to ask about the house of Tutul and she notices that asking such questions seems to be attracting the attention of a number of the red-robed guards.

The path west leads past the fence of one of the grand houses and then towards a body of water. There is a small island in the middle of the little lake. The path goes up around the northern end of the lake.

At the northern tip of the lake, the path goes up and leaves the shore level. South of the path, a large pipe, big enough to walk in, dispenses sewer water into the lake. North of the path, there are many houses, scattered haphazardly around.

The path leads further west and Diaochan sees that the path turns south-west just ahead and leads to a large area of tents and booths built around one of the pillars. To the Northwest Diaochan can see the other pillar, surrounded by an empty area of red earth and sand.

There is a heavy fence around the booths but the path leads straight to an open gate. Two red robed guards silently stand on either side of the gate but they are not bothering anyone. Over the gate a sign reads, "The Bizarre."

Inside the gate, among the booths, Diaochan sees that almost anything is for sale. Strange exotic items like lamps that shoot lava and a myriad of strange weapons are for sale.

In the Bizarre Diaochan can buy any weapon utilizing either location or style.
