(YBA) Kalath explores the workings of Wicht's Lair

[Wicht]

Entering the tomb, Kalath makes his way back down the stairs to the werewolf's complex. Exiting the stairs into the hall, Kalath sees one other man in the hall.

Dressed in simple brown garb, there is a slight bestial look to the man's eyes. He is carrying an axe and was about to enter the stairs when Kalath exited.

Kalath makes enough space in the hallway for the man to pass and continues on.

 

[Wicht]

The man sniffs the air a moment as he walks by Kalath but apparently what he smells satisfies him for he wordlessly moves on and climbs the stairs.

As Kalath progresses, his own footsteps seem to echo loudly in the stone corridor. The lair seems fairly silent, almost asleep.

Kalath attempts to move softly as he makes he ways towards where Griswold indicated the entrance to the garbage pit was.

 

[Wicht]

Kalath reaches the area of halls where the garbage pit should be and finds that there is one door in particular with two men standing guard outside it.

He suspects it is the door he wants.

"What do you want," growls one of the men warily.

Neither one however make a threatening move, though both sniff the air casually as if reading some sign or smell.

"Access to the garbage pit. Griswold directed me this way."

 

[Wicht]

"Why would ye be wanting the garbage pits?" says one of them wrinkling his nose.

The other one nods and goes ahead and opens the door to let Kalath through.

"We had problems just a while ago with someone sneaking in through the pits, killing some of our women and young lads and sneaking back out. They claimed to be on a mission for Lord Wicht but I think they lied. If you see anyone mucking about in there feel free to kill em."

Smiling at the man's comment, Kalath says, "Oh, don't worry, I plan to."

Kalath goes through the door.

 

[Wicht]

A short hallway leads to another door. The door opens easily, revealing a large room. The bottom f the room however lies about fifteen feet or so below the door. Piles of garbage fill the room and Kalath thinks he can see the bodies of several large decayed rats as well on the floor.

Before doing anything else, Kalath looks around what he can see of the room for ways down to the floor, ways up from the floor, exits, and rat tunnels.
