I've been recently reading through the Dresden Files. There's a character named Nicodemus. Also the Fey Courts and the Great Hunt. Also I cant help but compare John Marcone/Morgan Cippiano.

Hey Gideonpepys! Ive been a long time reader of your campaign.Well, lurker mostly as I rarely comment or post. Hello there! It's always nice to hear from someone who enjoys our session reports. By my reckoning there must be around 140 of you, as the number stays fairly consistent, but very few post here, which makes the whole thing a bit of a mystery. By the same token, it makes sense to keep the thread clear of all but the occasional comment, otherwise it would be hard to follow. (But some XP would be nice! Hint hint.) Anyway, pleased to meet you, Crispy120286. I noticed on another thread you mentioned you kept sheets of DM notes and the like to help you run the campaign. Would you be willing to put them up on a public dropbox for all us DMs running Zeitgeist? Sorry to disappoint you, but I don't have anything workable or usable by a third party. (Unless there's something specific I mentioned elsewhere that I have forgotten about.) Almost all of my notes are reminders of where specific elements of the adventure will impact on a member of our group in a unique way, or additions tailored to a particular character or storyline, which I would tend to forget if it wasn't written down. A recent example would be having Duchess Ethelyn interact with Kai. Second question. How do you write such a detailed campaign blog? Do you write it while running or after the session has ended? Any tips on that as well? As you can probably tell from reading the earliest posts this journal started out as a quick and easy way to keep my players up to speed o...

Great blog! I do have one question. I've noticed your color maps and great tokens with the portraits. How did you make them? I do admire your mapwork with the raised tokens with the portraits on it. its something i'd like to do when i run my game. Luckily, my wife is craftier than I am. :) The tokens are made by taking little 1-inch mosaic tiles and printing portraits to size (actually at about 13/16ths of an inch), and gluing those on both sides to make the core of the piece. Then we take a bakeable polhymer clay to make the border, with about an 8th of an inch raised edge, front and back. The polymer clay is baked to set (follow the instructions for the clay), then the "well" created on both sides is sealed with three coats of Mod Podge clearcoat. This seals the bubbles in the mosaic tile, paper, and polymer clay border. Then a two-part epoxy resin is mixed to fill the wells. One side gets transparent; the other side gets a bid of red die so the pieces can be flipped to their Bloodied side when...

I hope you can continue your campaign. Im kind of sad Korrigan is leaving. Me too, on both counts. And thanks for your support. Things are looking more optimistic now, and I've had a few ideas about how to capitalize on the situation, necessity being the mother of invention and all that. Our last session went well. It was a thoroughgoing debrief and roleplaying session to wrap up heroic tier - full report to follow. We're starting a dungeon bash buffer adventure next week with unit B that should give us all a breather from the tension and complexity of the main campaign and give me as DM the chance to take stock.

Hi. In the upcoming months I will be joining a campaign and I've decided that I'll play a Conjuration Specialist Wizard with the Teleportation Subschool. I will be specializing in summon monster. My DM will allow some 3.5 feats but they'll be put up to a vote on whether they're too broken or not. So far im playing a custom race that adds an extra bit on INT. Im considering taking leadership for a cavalier cohort. But im not so sure yet. This is what I have so far. Stats 7,14,14,16,16,9. Feats: Race 1: Spell Focus (Conjuration) Level 1: Augment Summoning Level 3: Improved Initiative Wizard 5: Fast Study Level 5: Superior Summoning Level 7: Improved Familiar (lyrakin azata or cassisian angel) Level 9: Dimensional Agility Wizard 10: Level 11: Level 13: Wizard 15: Level 15: Spell Perfection Level 17: Level 19: Wizard 20: What do you think? How may I improve this build? Noting the good celestial theme from your familiar, the "Summon Good Monster" feat might be a solid fit...

I've read your story from session 1 all the way to the current one. I always find myself looking forward to the next session. Great inspiration for when I run my game once we finish TSAD. Thanks very much. That's really good to know. I've run a lot of campaigns over the years, but this is the first time I've ever posted session reports online. My main reason for doing so was that I had found other DMs' reports (for previous campaigns) immensely helpful myself, so your response is particularly gratifying. I have to say this last post is incredible! The tension must have been intense. I hope to be able to emulate it when I eventually run my campaign. Keep up the great work! Thanks again - but the real credit goes to Thurston Hillman and Ryan Nock.

I need advice. In the quest Troublemakers, my heroes have already defeated the rival adventurers. If they encounter them again and defeat them a second time, do they gain EXP again? Sure! I can't think of any good reason not to award them XP.

The plan is for Stanfield to be a 'final boss' in adventure 9, so he's one of the very few individuals in the setting who's reached 20th level. (Opening the Axis Seal will release a flood of energy that will let many more people achieve that power.) They'll confront him as he's overseeing the activation of a Wayfarer Lighthouse in the Ayres while simultaneously the Ob on Axis Island are opening the seal. Stars fall from the sky, literally impacting the surface of the world like burning white meteors. I'm thinking of making Stanfield a 22nd level solo, with three stages of tactics. First would be sending minions at the group as he conjures manifest zones of deadly planes. Then once he takes some damage, he starts calling forth manifestations of his former lifetimes to clog the battlefield and defend him, showing that he has been many things throughout his life. One of those manifestations, however, was a poet, and does not approve of what he has become; he will try to tell the party how to kill h...
